Are there closet domers on this board? Who would down vote this thread?

So did Chesterton Lep never exist?
Look at Deadspin's response
It was only two people.
Teo can't hide forever. There are a lot of questions that need to be answered.
The RCMB...is one of the most awful, alarming, inappropriate, disgusting, and offensive msg boards in the history of the internet.
Dan Patrick just said on his show that he heard from someone at ESPN and the interview with Jeremy Schaap is off. No other details given.
Well, I just wasted my whole morning reading this thread, and most likely will be too busy checking here for updates to get any work done this afternoon, and I really thought it was going to be a productive day today.
Heard this morning that the NFL teams are VERY good at getting the information they need out of people, and they said they'll definitely get the full story. So it'll fall apart and he'll slide, or he comes clean to preserve some draft status.
No, but there is the ND247 site that's not too happy with the way every other fanbase is going nuts over this.
That, or some of our guys accidentally hit the downvote button instead of "quote".
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
apparently RuPaul has an exclusive w/ Manti, not sure what this means
Like Dez Bryant's mom being a prostitute lolol
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
This just keeps getting weirder...
This is a confusing story; theret exist.
ND fans are quick to attack players from other schools. Eff them.
Why would Te'o kill his "girlfriend" right after his grandma died? Doesn't make sense. If he was as close to his grandma as reported, why all of the sudden would he decide to off his girlfriend too?
Yeah, he probably lied. But there's a big difference between lying about your IRL interactions with a girl because you are embarrassed about being pussy whipped by a Twitter handle on the one hand, and making up the entire thing to cover your awkward homosexual fumblings or to win Heisman sympathy votes on the other.
None of this shit does.
Definately. Definately lied.
Only thing I can think is he thought it would be the best time to gain the most publicity. A grandma dying would get him some sympathy but a grandma and girlfriend at the same time is a tragedy.
A dead grandma gets you some mentions from the play by play guy and Holly Rowe on the sidelines with more. This gets you... what he got.
To try and maximize the "woe is me" factor. Fact is, Te'o may have been able to come to terms with the fact his grandmother actually died, but the girlfriend thing would take the manufactured grief to a new level. There was spice there for the national media. Two deaths in one day? Both of someone close to him, both influential female figures in his life? That's the shit that gets you to New York as a defensive player. He's playing out of his mind, he had all this loss, he's a great leader. My bet is, that Tuiasasopo kid was in on it thinking he could get Te'o to cash in. Probably wanted a handout after he got taken high in April. It was all just a scam for more dramatic exposure, if you ask me. Added some needed sizzle to the otherwise boring steak of a decent linebacker who just tackled people (outside of Alabama).
Sparty > Walverines
I'm really disappointed Te'o didn't win the Heisman. Imagine how much more of a scandal this would be. Right now it's epic, but if he would have won the Heisman partly because of the sympathy vote, this would be a whole 'nother level.
Ignoring motivations (Heisman hype? Homosexuality cover up? Shits and giggles?), for Te'o and those close to him to have been in on the hoax, one of the following things must have happened, right?
1) The parties involved plan the hoax and decide to announce the "death" on Sept. 11, and Te'o's grandmother coincidentally dies before they can make it public. Despite their grief, they proceed with the fake death anyway.
2) The parties involved plan the hoax, and (guessing here) with the grandmother's death imminent, they decide that they'll announce Kekua's death hours after the grandmother's death, whenever that may be.
3) Te'o's grandmother dies, and despite his grief, he gets the idea to announce the death of a fake online girlfriend. Like, right then and then there.
Any of those three things happening is a lot harder for me to believe than "romantically inept LDS Church member gets duped by fake online girlfriend, lies to family about the details, lies get out of control."
