You've been ass kissing and covering since this thing started. If you haven't noticed, no ones cares/agrees with what you have to say. So, STFU.
Just read the entire Schapp transcript. Says that the South Bend Journal lied about the meeting. He claims to have never said that. He claims that there is a whole group in on this. Two separate dudes and at least one chick. He would regularly talk with two dudes claiming to be Lennay's brother and cousin. Also, the call he got on Dec. 6th was her sister, but then it turned out to be Lennay.
He couldn't tell the difference in voices? I really do think he got duped, but I think he did a lot of lying along the way, and is still lying in some regards to cover his ass.
I also think that he has to be one of the biggest morons on the face of the planet.
After my hissy fit above, I guess I'm ready to move on. The kids has lied, but he's a kid. Kids do stupid things, and it's probably going to cost him $$$. His problem.
I look at Lance Armstrong, though--now, that shit is real. He's hurt other people, tried to destroy careers, and took the nation for a ride. A pox on him. He's f**ked himself good and what little I watched of the "interview" did nothing to change my thoughts--probably made them worse. Eat shit and die.
But, Manti--kid, come clean, stop digging the hole. You're young and dumb. Every single one of us understands that.

this is F#@%ing bizarre !!!!
written in 2008 ?!? HOLY SH!T:
"Secretive, sly and smiling, 17-year-old Manti Te’o – America’s No. 1 rated 2009 prep linebacker prospect – should be recruited by the CIA for his innate and disarming ability to tell you exactly what you want to hear without telling you anything at all."

I agree - any NFL team considering him will be incredibly thorough in an investigation of his background and in this current story.
However, the ones investigating are not media and probably won't make their findings public. They are professional. I doubt we will ever see 100% truth to this story.
And the biggest question, who the hell would talk to him on the phone for hours EVERY NIGHT for 3 YEARS just to play a prank?????????

"We'll play anyone, anyplace, anytime!" - Tom Izzo
His high school must have had low standards.
Apparently some things never change:
His father, Brian Te’o, laughed when he described Manti’s special relationship with his cousin: “Manti and Shiloah are like husband and wife. They are so close. They’re, like, always talking to each other [by phone] all the time and at all times of the night."
Thank you, Denicos.
Some dude named Obama graduated from there.
husband and wife? Is Shiloah female or male?
Male. Played LB at BYU, which is how it came up in a recruitment article (Teo was considering BYU at the time).
After reading through everything I could find on the matter, I think that his involvement is somewhere in the middle. While I think he is dense and likely was genuinely fooled, I think he had no problem adding on to the story to make it seem like they were closer than they actually were - afterall, you are one of the stars of the Notre Dame football team, do you really want it to get out that you are a slightly cooler version of Kip Dynamite? (I imagine that Manti was probably getting really T.O.'d that she still hadn't sent a full body shot). I also think that Manti had no problem with the attention this story was bringing him, even after he found out it was all a hoax. I'm also sort of thinking that he realized it was a hoax a lot earlier than he is trying to lead people to believe.
I just don't see how all through this coverage, ESPN is not addressing this part of the story. If she's not real then who the hell was he talking to?
Mitch Albom weighs in and SURPRISE! he thinks we should all leave Te'o alone!
(Will not link the column)
"No one cares what you know, until they know how much you care." Mark Dantonio
Of course he sympathizes with someone who makes up an entire world of fiction.
Dominating Press Conferences Since 2007
Her first public appearance since the hoax was revealed!
The indoctrinated will no longer be able to deny it, only defend it.
Albom knows all about conversations with people who aren't really there...

NYT Book Section: Manti Te'o announces book deal: "Tuesday Overnights with Lennay"
"Notre Dame officials said the investigators did not examine cell phone records, e-mails or other electronic communication to determine the length or extent of Te'o's communication over the past few years with the person claiming to be Lennay Kekua"
sounds like the kind of investigation you have when you aren't looking for the truth
Today Anything else?

Another thorough investigation brought to you by the University of National Deception!
The RCMB...is one of the most awful, alarming, inappropriate, disgusting, and offensive msg boards in the history of the internet.
What, exactly, did they investigate? They never interviewed Manti either, right?
Now knowing what 1995 is like all over again! Thank you 247 technology!!
They investigated whether she was made up or not.
They found out she did not exist.
I like how, to investigate a case where a player claims to have been defrauded into an exclusively online and telephone relationship with someone he believed to be real but never met, Notre Dame conducts internet research without having face-to-face interviews -- with anyone.
Someone call the irony police. Shit just got unreal.
Much like the weather that fateful October day... there was nothing remarkable about Teo's fabrications
Move along folks, nothing to see here.
More weirdness to add to the end of the timeline.
From the Washington Post: "Tudesco said he and three friends got the fundraising idea after a seeing a video that went viral of Te’o holding his head in dismay during the Irish’s 42-14 loss to Alabama in the national championship game on Jan. 7.
The goal was to turn the loss — and the player’s sudden popularity — into something positive.
“I think we were all kind of disappointed in the result of the game ... and the Manti story was very inspirational,” Tudesco told The Associated Press on Thursday.
Notre Dame took notice of Tudesco’s tweets about the fund drive and sent a university videographer to shoot an interview with him. The video was posted on the Notre Dame athletics YouTube channel Tuesday." Im assuming the Tuesday is Tuesday Jan 8, or Tuesday Jan 15. This story was published on Jan 17.
(bold emphasis is mine.)
Remember ND said they were aware of the hoax on Dec. 26.
INDIANAPOLIS t exist.
