The picture is awesome.

It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Spartan!!!!
I'm not a big Albom fan but the Deadspin "article" is much stupider than the ho-hum piece it rips.
Why does Myth constantly start and end his columns with the same phrase, he REALLY wants to be Paul Harvey
"DETROIT VISION, a supernatural power that allows city residents to ascertain proper MVP candidates AND to see through buildings, mostly because those buildings no longer have any exterior structure to them."
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
I agree completely. I thought the Albom piece was decent. Nothing to be offended about. The Deadspin piece ripping him is completely stupid and obnoxious.
The writer must be a moneyball nerd
Anything negative about Beotch Albom is OK in my book.
Do I care if its unfair or a bit of a stretch given the piece they are ripping?
No, no I don't.
Haha you called him myth.

It seems like the guys at Deadspin have a grudge against Album. These articles pop up pretty regularly. This one is more childish than most though. Album is a hack, but this guy stooped wayyy below his level.
Totally agree. Deadspin as a whole, and Drew Magary especially, have gotten as lazy and predictable as the entities it attacks.
I also would like to hear who he would have voted for.

I love the part where Mitch calls other people nerds. Like he wasn't getting the hell beat out of him everyday in school
Now with a PhD in Applied Llama Physics...
Isn't it time for captain Kirk to beam this guy back to the enterprise?
I'm sure it bothers super successful Albon that you think he was a nerd and Deadspin rips on him. He's a multi-millionaire and well regarded by most.
The last four words of your sentence are highly debatable.
People over 50 think Albom is swell. Casual sports fans and Hallmark Hall of Fame viewers love him. That's about it.
I'm sure it doesn't bother him, but Mitch is pretty out of touch with anything that's happened since about 1998.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
Only thing funny about that article was the picture.
Over 50 and quit reading mitch when he quit writing about sports got a radio gig and started making shit up.

Not an Albom fan, but that article was dumb as hell.
I should have put "many people over 50".
No worries, I know you meant in general.
Mitch was once a good sports columnist but he got too big for his britches ;)
He also despises sports nowadays. That's why he appointed himself an expert on everything else.
Many writers lose their love of the games, which got them their spot in the first place. Albom is the #1 example of this happening.
I do not blame him. His Albom in the Afternoon show is usually many times better than anything on 97.1. No 4 hours of Lions talk for 4 months out of the year for Mitch.
I think that show is awful. They are still doing bad Travolta impressions and his sidekick thinks he's really, really funny.
I don't like Valenti and Foster most of the time either, but I can't take Albom at all. Some of that may just be my distaste of the guy for his UM mouthpiece status and the fact that he talks about Bo as if the guy were still alive. Actually, most UM people do that. Never mind.
No it's not. Or maybe it's obnoxious, but not completely stupid.
Albom's argument for Cabrera winning the MVP is to malign sabermetrics. And his way of doing THAT is to insult sabermetricians.
Albom is a goddamn retard. And he needs to be called out for this.
