weather.com sucks. The map says it's been raining in Troy for the last half hour...not a drop at my house
Have fun, still without power after this bad boy rolled through the DC area around 1030pm on Friday:

this is news to me
Nothing in grand rapids thru 7 am...
I think you may be in luck. This one looks like it's going to go south of Grand Rapids. As for sw Michigan...you're f*&cked.
It probably is raining, just so humid that it is evaporating before it hits the ground.
In luck? It's like the fucking Sahara in West Michigan right now.
yea it works the opposite way....evaporation is limited by high humidity....
Do you really want your rain with 90 mph winds?
If you see the grass around SE MI (Oakland County) you will see we need rain BAD. It is brown straw. My grass hasn't grown in 3 weeks. The only thing growing is my Veggie Garden and that is because I water it twice a day. We need rain badly. And there was a rain cell that moved through and it drizzled for about 5 minutes. We need a nice storm. I am not sure about the high winds but we need rain.
Yep, I definitely understand the need for rain. Our area is no different. Pretty much every lawn around here (South Bend) is a pile of straw.
It's starting to get real dark...may be taking the kids in the basement in a bit...she's blowing in.
Pee outside more, and then post about it on Facebook.
Good luck hope everything turns out ok.
We needed rain in Fort Wayne just as bad. But I would of rather it didn't come with the 90 mph winds that left 65000 out of power for 3 days and counting. Brown lawns don't bother me that much
i did take a leak on a building in chicago earlier this week. felt great.
Did you then update your status?
Storm line came thru Lansing and we got two minutes of rain. Grass is brown and dead, just the way I like it...

Apparently, until you've squat pee'd off the side of a boat during a fireworks grand finale, you haven't lived.
Thanks DMB, we got lucky and just got the very northern tip of the storm. And even that part broke into two as it came into town. Got about 20 minutes of rain.
Those aren't weather bands, they're arms and legs; I'm guessing DC was attacked by Sentinels and you're without power because Morpheus hit the red button and triggered an EMP.
