1. Kansas City
Lions will have their choice of almost any top defensive prospect
Rogue Leader= Obese coward who didn't attend MSU and has no college degree
Doesn't matter, they'll find some way to fuck it up.
Shitty team, shitty coaching, shitty organization.

What does the early big board look like for prospects? This is a pretty good spot. The Lions have more talent than drafting in this spot indicates.
Signing that prospect will be the problem. (Edit: incorrect, rookie salary structure)
The Lions are in an almost unimaginably bad salary cap situation considering the money tied up in three players (Suh, Johnson, Stafford) and all the needs the team has.

Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
All you have to do is tweak those deals.
It's going to be hilarious when the Lions have the best player in the NFL at 6 or 7 positions and we're still a sub .500 team.

Uh the rookie contracts aren't what they used to be
Less guaranteed money
Lions will be fine
The new cba slotting system and rookie salary pool system provides a solution for this, from what I understand.
Well right now they have the best at 1 position out of 22.
So they still have a ways to go.
I'm excited for the Lions. I know they can do better and move up to No. 1 next season.
For the draft pick, yes.
But when you look at that roster with all their free agents, they have a ton of work to do this offseason to even field a decent team next year on paper.
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
going forward but those 3 are under the old cba and are tying up most of the cap money for the whole team. One has to be traded and the other 2 reworked.
Oh man...you think they trade Suh?
my thoughts exactly. see if they can get 3 picks in the first two rounds
If that happened you know damn well they would use 1 of those picks on a WR
If salary cap for 2013 is the issue, then they should work a trade for Suh for multiple picks in future drafts.
shitty shitty shitty post.
If they can get him, Manti Teo. Lions need a LB, and this guy has zero red flags regarding injuries, and more importantly, off-the-field issues.
were the draft tomorrow, they'd probably take one of:
Manti Te'o, LB, Notre Dame
Bjoern Werner, DE, FSU
Damontre Moore, DE, TaM
Dee Milliner, CB, Bama
I think you can almost guarantee one of those 4 guys will be a Lion come April. I'd be 100% happy with any of them. We're losing Avril and KVB this year, so DE will be as big, or bigger, a need on D as secondary help. If they go w/ Te'o or Milliner in the 1st, look for someone like Alex Okafor in the 2nd. If we're lucky Barrett Jones drops to us there. any of the above and Jones in the 1st and 2nd would be very very good.
This link has Bell as 130th overall. If that is true he should stay.
exactly. All three have restructured in the past and they'll do it again. Calvin is moving into his new deal soon and with the new rookie salary cap it shouldn't be too much of a problem. It's just too bad that only went in force after Suh.
They'll also be losing some big numbers with Avril and KVB and a few others departing. It's not nearly as bad as some here seem to think.
which would be awful because we all saw how loaded Detroit is at WR.
why do you even post in football threads? all you do is bash MSU and Detroit teams and players and bitch and moan constantly. you are a miserable knob.
I don't bash any Detroit teams
Saying that the Lions would probably draft a WR isn't "bashing"
