That part concerns me, it makes it seem like they are ok going into next year with Boesch and Dirks in the OF and Peralta at SS.
We are not the same, I am a Spartan

DD if Tigers don't add anybody Smyly should be 5 th starter, won't answer how things will shake up if they do sign somebody
I'm guessing Smyly is pretty much a lock as the 5th starter, and then the 4th starter is Porcello/ Sanchez. Which is what everybody has been saying since about mid-August.
DD seems pretty high on Rondon, if season started today I think he would be closer, the way the talk is
They need to keep Peralta, IMO. He's valuable as a utility if....and unless they package Boesch in a deal, I'd keep him too for one more year. Dude is only 27 and does have power.

Any chance for a Fielder for ARod trade?
Peralta is the best non-trade deal they are going to get at SS, he was a no brainer to keep
sounds like they will be working on a Verlander extension
Should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 years/100 million
Rogue Leader= Obese coward who didn't attend MSU and has no college degree
Probably more like 5 years/$125 million
Is Castellanos not going to be ready for a run next year?
2014 is more likely. Had a rough time in Erie and hasn't been good in the Arizona Fall League.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
needs at least 1 more year in the minors, IMO
Bye bye Rickie.
He had a tough transition batting, dropping from .410- .264 , but all indications are that he was exceptional in the field.

Why say bye bye to Rick?
Couldn't he do well as a long reliever?
He could, but I believe the better business move is to package him for a prospect (infielder or lhp). I really like Smyly as the 5th starter.
Guy is really young. 23?
Just saying he has potential that shouldn't be invalidated. He's already on our team and is playing with some of the best pitchers in the league.
He's 24 and has been on the Tigers for 3 full seasons. I am not 'invalidating ' his potential, I am suggesting we take advantage of it in a trade.
You have got to be the biggest idiot on this board. He's gonna be the highest paid pitcher in baseball. And he's making 20 mil a year right now, why would he sign an extension making the same amount of money?
Tigers aren't gonna increase payroll
The question with Porcello is that every team wants him, but at the "frustrated with a young pitcher" discount. Whether Dombrowski can find a team ready to deal MLB ready players of need is the question. The first question, however, is whether the team can keep Sanchez. Regardless, the team will not hit spring training with questions about the rotation, and that rotation will be more than capable of another playoff run.....

They said that last year. And the year before.
Yeah I'm ok with moving Porcello because he's probably a bad fit for our team. I'm not ok with just giving him away because he makes talk show callers upset.
