I wont stop talking about roushar until he is gone. He is wrecking my life. The thought of roushar trying to implement a new offense to get with the times will give me nightmares.
This is what I think as well. Timing of the plays, going away from what works, and general poor performance of many players is the issue IMO.
No-can-do bro. It's the angst that all MSU fans are enduring right now. Any suggestions on a suitable replacement?
I think it means Dantonio knows we need to get more athleticism at the QB postion and run a little spread with our pro style. We need a little more athleticism at the RB position or at least some other option to complement our power back. Also we have to get better in the OL.
So then who do you think we should hire as the new oc?
Only the kids were expecting it because you have used raspberry bran nut cakes in similar situations in the past and your pre-cake presentation routine telegraphed your intentions. Now the kids are angry even before the cake is presented and they have conducted a successful seek and destroy mission, leaving you without a cake, and without a clue how to get out of it.
Give them NOTHING but take from them EVERYTHING.
The board was better when blanch was trying to foist himself off as some sort of business mogul or ladies man.
Blanch the football critic is a total failure.
If Roushar is no longer OC he may be an Oline coach where he was effective.

I'm holding this thread responsible for not having anymore upvotes today. =(
Treadwell would have. The offensive scheme is fine. The person calling the plays and coaching the o line isn't.
Keeping the sunshiners in check since 2000.
I swear at least one time I'd use former HS QB Tony Lippett in the wildcat. No reason he couldn't have a run pass option inside the 10 depending on what was open.
Its five o'clock somewhere.
I watched the NW game in the stands last Saturday so I wasn't analyzing the game. Today I replayed the game on espn360. Not perfect, but Roushar actually called a great game. Do you guys feel he cost us the game?
Class of 2010
My kid told me the same thing. The Northwestern loss wasn't blown offensive calls. It was a team unable to do things like successful snaps from center to qb and catching balls that hit receivers in the hands.
Our playcalling in the red zone has been horrible all year, including last Saturday. Its so predictable, and running the ball straight ahead 4 plays in a row is just not a good strategy. MSU moved the ball between the 20s, but once again didn't move it inside the red zone.
Didn't like the goal line calls. If you're not going to teach Maxwell how to run a sneak, don't call it. We CLEARLY have trouble punching it in, so why are we acting like we can impose our will? Roll out pass or TE release play.
Vim -- noun: robust energy and enthusiasm : VITALITY
This is a slight of hand so to speak. Average playcalling was all that was needed when you out talent an opponent. 4 turnovers killed us.
That said, not a good litmus test to determine his playcalling. Then again, 50 drop backs with 47 throws in a supposed pound green pound offense grinds me...so I still say poorly called.
You think the call on 4th at the goal-line w/ the box stacked was a good call considering the OL performance and lack of success all season with that play, was good?

Dantonio will be gone in three years if he doesn't get rid of Rousher. They guy is a coach killer.
One area where roushar has regressed is in the area of pass routes. Last year, Cousins had open receivers to throw to on the first or second read. It was pitch and catch for the most part last year. This year, opponents are adjusting and roushar is not able to counter. Receivers are covered and Maxwell is being required to hit receivers through small tire openings.
