The wife breaks it to me at Travis burger tonight. Says the owner called her today ( we've used them for years). It cost about two hundred a couple years ago. I liked it, wife tells me she can't find a duplicate on their website. So I ask her what the guy is gonna do. She says he'll reimburse. I say cool. She says I shouldn't ask for the original cost because I've had it for two years. I stop chewing my greasy burger and say why the hell not?
So I leave it to the wisdom of the RCMB. Do I depreciate the cost like my polite wife wants me to. or ask the bastard for the original cost. I'm going there Friday.

Original cost. Actually, scratch that. Exaggerate the original cost, then take a handful of mints on your way out the door.
I'd say the depreciation is offset by inflation. Ask for full retail.
Post pics of your wife so I can jacket.
Consider it a favor and go buy a real coat.

This country was built by people who worked hard then went home and had just a few too many every night. Then went back to work.
I'm turning 51 on Friday. Cool is long since gone from my life. I liked the jacket.
Your next jacket may outlive you.
Find a jacket you like then look at the cost of that coat... that's how much you should get reimbursed. Also he should sacrifice a goat out of respect
so mattyfresh and so clean
Wife did. Downstairs closet is jammed. I live with three women. Anyway, I pulled it out and it was wrinkled pretty good. It was a press job only. Guy said there were a bunch of circular shapes on it. I haven't seen it yet.
Make him sign a contract that makes him watch an episode of "The Mindy Project" every day for the rest of his life.

Don't mention the brand next time.
I just read these to my wife, when I hit yours she started laughing so hard she had to pee.
Serious question is it really out of style? Nautical?
You expose your wife to the idiocy that is tRCMB and she hasn't left you yet? Talk about a keeper.
Ask the dry cleaner to steal a more stylish jacket from another customer and tell him you'll call it even.
You don't leave a man who can afford a Nautica jacket.
I have no clue It's just cold and I don't think of cold with sailboat references.
bid $1, everyone else is too high.........oh wait this isn't Price is Right.
Are going to use them in the future for your cleaning? If so then fair market value.
everyone makes mistakes...that is life.
refuse compensation...instead, forgive the owner and thank them for their act of goodwill. keep doing business with them. you will be rewarded when it's all said and done. these types of things always come back to reward you in the end.
I'd have to meet the guy who runs the dry cleaning place. If he's a dick ask for 350$, if he's a nice guy ask for 80$.
I didn't know Nautica made things that are 200$.
If it's this one? Priceless. Sue him.
