Quite the program Jeff Lebo has. Suspended for one game after sucker punching a player multiple times. Same guy was arrested in 2012 on firearms charges.
East Carolina U? How... obscure.
Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read. - Groucho Marx
Story and video, for those that want to see the video.
If this had happened to an MSU player (or an MSU player had thrown the punch), I would hope the player would get more than a one game suspension
Over the weekend, we showed you the video of UTEPs McKenzie Moore draining a 26-foot three to beat East Carolina on the road at the buzzer, 68-67. That, alone, is a great feeling for any team.

Hard to look tough when your head is halfway up a teammate's duodenum.
quite the chicken little that you are...yeah, it's ok for another player to get a 1 game suspension, but god forbid one of our players do this and they deserve to be kicked out of basketball for life!
da fuq? Read slower, dude. He's saying that the dude deserves more than a game, that's it.
Amazing that people still fall for vargman.
shamaar bowden brought a colt .45 to a party and fired some rounds into the air.
He apologized over twitter so its all good. Geez folks get into the 21st century.
Looks like he was just trying to box the kid out
He doesn't look like a Bowden.
More spry than I was expecting. Probably too small for football.
He'd better be careful. Slapping somebody like that could really hurt them.
Thank you, Denicos.
Yep, exactly. Let's send the message that it's perfect acceptable to throw sucker punches at a guy on the ground who can't defend himself and did nothing to bring on the punches (at least nothing visible in the video of the event, no idea if something else happened earlier).
To me, it just doesn't belong in basketball. There's never any reason to be throwing punches at someone.
1 game for that? Fucker should be kicked off the team. ECU = Thug U!
Well, at least he's sorry:
To his credit, Bowden apologized directly to Tucker on Twitter after he was unable to find the UTEP guard after the game.
"That's not who I am," Bowden wrote. "I am bigger than that and it was out of character of me. I was confused at the moment of what was going on. Hope you accept my apology and good luck with the rest of yalls season."
That kinda confusion, son, can land you in jail. Better figure out how to unconfuse things in real time.
From the blog The Dagger: College Basketball Blog: Saturday night's Conference USA matchup between UTEP and East Carolina featured two of the best and worst sights college basketball can provide. The positive one was the image of UTEP players celebrating at mid-court after McKenzie Moore nailed a three-pointer … Continue reading →
WTF? Gholston gets one game for a punch to a guy wearing a football helmet and football season is 1/3 the length of football. This is a few game suspension at least.
