Here's what's going to happen. Roushar won't be fired or demoted. Narduzzi will realize his career is going down the tubes because of Roushar and will bail. Admin./Hollis will cheap out on the new DC, and either MD will leave or Roushar will suck until MD gets canned because he's too stubborn to cut him loose. I will be doing anything but wasting my time watching the clusterfuck that is MSU football.
Fire him? Take him down to the Red Cedar River, kneel him down, and put a bullet in the back of his head, like Lennie from Of Mice and Men. Except don't tell him a nice story about bunnies first.
ABSOLUTELY, roushard is part of the reason we lost today. But besides calling a suck-ass game with badly-designed plays, he basically called his game of the year. There's only so much you can expect from him, he's a fucking retard.
Vim -- noun: robust energy and enthusiasm : VITALITY
BTW, did you notice how McDonough went out of his way to compliment roushar? I bet somebody from MSU was asking him to do that during the week.
its a football game

I've been calling for his firing for quite awhile now but I thought he was fine today. Probably the best game he's called all year. Nothing great but we were in a position to win and things didn't go our way.
The defense gave the offense 3 interceptions. The play calling on the two series before half was atrocious. You just cannot overlook this.
He is horrible and the play calling needs be taken out of his hands next year. If there is no change then you really have to wonder about this regime moving forward.
It is beyond shit.
I support you like you support me. End of first half possessions win and lose games. Watch bama here with a minute to go...AND getting the ball 2nd half.
And there it is. The demoralizing score before half that monumentally shifts half time adjustments, speech, head position, confidence...and they get the ball coming out. We had that chance.
End of 2nd half possessions win and lose games too.
Yup, I thought MSU was about wearing down opponents in the 4th Q.
I don't think this staff has any idea WTF they want to be. MD is not and offensive guy and he is getting no help from his OC.
Its really bad right now.
respectfully disagree. It only appears that way because of what did or did not happen at end of first half.
Fuck you Roushar!!
The guy couldn't kill a clock if his job depended on it. Fortunately for him, with Coach D in charge, it doesn't.
Hey Douchebag, you should watch out for the bullshit you post, that qualifies as a threat in this new world order.
and if by chance he should end up capped , I will personally forward this to my friend at the MI State Police

Well then, let me be clear, for you and other small-minded people. It's called hyperbole. I'm not serious, obviously. In no way, shape or form would I like roushar hurt. I would like him to get the fuck away from our football program, though.
The drives in the last qtr when leading are evidence as to why he should be fired... We can't kill a clock and we aren't throwing high percentage passes when we need a pass or first down.. what happened to all the bj cunningham type slants? or quick passes to the receivers? The 50/50 sideline man to man balls we throw 20 yards down field on 2nd and 3rd down make no sense!!! Our receivers haven't caught many of those all year? if its man to man cross the field and get a guy in stride 8-10 yards down field with higher percentage chances.. or roll outs from the back field with LT or a TE.. just had to make 10 yards every 3 plays... just keep the clock running. So frustrating.. I can't sit here and blame the refs, or defense not making big plays... because they make big plays all game and the opposition gets way too many possessions in the 4th because of this horrendous play calling
It is my understanding there is broad bipartisan support to fire Dan Roushar.
Good. The more chickenshits that leave the better. So long pussy

With Brian Mosallam-D now on the board, three of the eight board members now have direct ties to the program (Perles-D and Lyons-R being the others).
Chickenshit is not facing facing reality tough guy.
I'm not panicking over Narduzzi. He's good, but let's not forget that Dantonio is a national championship winning defensive coordinator. Whoever our DC is, Dantonio will know what needs to be fixed if they're not doing a good job. The problem we have now, is that Dantonio can't step in and fix Roushar's mistakes because he himself doesn't have the offensive know-how.
While I agree with you that I doubt Roushar will be demoted or fired. The comment about Narduzzi's career going down the tubes is at its best disingenuous and most likely a flat out lie. How do you know he won't want to leave because he gets a great head coaching offer and have nothing to do with Roushar? First off you have no idea how Narduzzi feels personally or professionally about Roushar. Unless you have some quote I haven't seen. Second, Narduzzi had at least one decent offer last year, he'll probably get more when you have a top tier defense. Sooner or later the guy probably will want to get a head coaching gig. How is Narduzzi's career going down hill because of Roushar? Roushar was the coordinator last year, Narduzzi still got a big time DC coordinator offer, a raise and his D played at a fairly high level. This year despite the offense his defense has played well and is well regarded for the most part. Even next year they have a decent amount of defensive talent returning most likely. The only way Narduzzi's career will go down the tubes is because of Narduzzi. Roushar has a ton of issues but now he's to blame for possible future coaching movement
I get the Roushar criticism, the offense this year has been terrible but to blame him for things that haven't even happened yet with other coaches and stuff none of us on a message board really know is lame in my book. It again points to the fact that Roushar deserves a TON of criticism for play calling and on the field results but some of his critics on here are so over-the-top it is beyond silly at this point. And quite frankly if 5, possibly 6 seasons of bowl games, a BT title and two 11 win seasons are a "cluster****" as you say or lead you to believe that the future will be than maybe you should just go root for Alabama or something and get it over with.
I also wonder if Roushar won't look a lot better if/when the OL is healthy and the QB/WRs/TEs all come back next season. The Nebraska performance was pretty encouraging; MSU put up 3 points vs. the Huskers last year and under 200 yards of O. This year they put up 24 points and over 360 yards of O. We'll see if they can build on that against Northwestern/Minny and hopefully the bowl opponent.
I do put a chunk of the blame on the coaches last season for not playing Maxwell, Mumphery and Lippett more, particularly against Iowa and IU. The extra PT could have really helped this year; staff seems unwilling to get young guy PT here or there unless a veteran is clearly struggling or there's an injury. Look how long it took to make Bell the #1 RB last season.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
People bought too much of the Maxwell hype. They see **** and Elite11 and think he is gonna come in a dominate. It is tough to replace great QBs.
