Have to agree with the sentiment today, but those throws are on Maxwell. At least Rousher keeps giving the ball to leveon.
uhh, Le'Veon only has 9 carries as we approach halftime.
Maxwell is regressing. Who is responsible for development on offense?
If we don't fire this guy in the offseason, I'm done with MSU football until we do.

Haven't stopped Bell all game?
Let's pass on first and second down.
Throwing from the 6 on 2nd down.
That was pathetic.
Every game i believe less and less that maxwell will ever be a successful starting QB in college. He can't hit basic passes.
Your average UofM fan and I have something in common, neither of us went to UofM. Though we do share One major difference, I got Accepted.
Anyone who suggests Roushar should not be fired, is a f'g idiot. This guy is a joke. His routes are predictable. He doesn't know how to scheme open a WR. His calls are horrible. These play action calls where we have a TE or WR running a post pattern without anyone under is total amateur hour.
He still has such happy feet, flushed from pocket too early, and once he scrambles out you never see him throw to a WR.. just out of bounds. He really needs to learn to prolong a play and look for WRs trying to create for him once he gets open... its super frustrating seeing how he absolutely will not step up when the pocket wraps around him... He has got to be one of the easiest sacks in the Big Ten.

If I had the power to get rid of either Maxwell or Roushar for next season, I'm choosing Maxwell. Of course, I'd like to get rid of both, but if I could only choose one, give me a new quarterback.

That Flea Flicker was hilariously pathetic even by Roushar standards. That may be his worst call yet.
Well it took him 11 games and 3 1/2 quarters of a 12th, but Roushar did something right.
It only took him half the game to realize there is no reason to take it out of Bell's hands
What's your timetable, in the event that it happens at all this offseason?
I'm thinking they start sending out feelers, and if they like what they hear and have several possible candidates, they announce it shortly after the bowl match up is finalized.
I still have a feeling that it'll take an act of god to get Roushar out of that OC seat for good.
Dantonio just doesn't have a history of firing guys. I doubt he'll drop the hammer on a guy that's been "under his wing" for nearly a decade now.
OMG!! Now had it worked you'd be thinking 'good play call...but he still needs to be fired'. Roushar has opened the playbook the last two games and with better execution those games could have been blow out games. He's not a great OC, but he's becoming more competent
Class of 2010
I decided this game that Maxwell can only make one throw: the line drive out. And we spend much of the game asking him to make touch passes. He throws the ball as if he's putting it in a spot to lead the receiver, but then rifles it as hard as he can. If we were smart, we'd tell him to aim every pass for the receiver's chest. At least it'd give us a chance.
The combination of Maxwell and roushar has just killed us this year. But if I could get rid of one, it'd be roushar. At least I know Maxwell will run out of eligibility if he doesn't get better.
Has he had a bad season after signs of progress though? My understanding is that the basic progression of UC under him was upwards.
There really isn't any history to go off of.
What you don't realize, is that when it doesn't work, that's on the coaches too. They recruit, coach, and plan for the players, and if the execution's fucked up, that's on them.

This is the story. Previously, he had Treadwell running the O and he never shit the bed anywhere near what Roushar's done since being handed an O that put up 30 a game. This is new territory for MD. He has to be smart enough to see he made a gaff promoting Roushar, then he has to man up and make a change. This is a fork in the road for MD and MSU football.
Let's say Dantonio does think Roushar needs to go (or at least be demoted). Is there any chance it'd be sometime in the next few days before the team starts practicing for their bowl game? The logic behind this question is that it would set the tone for Dantonio to call the shots offensively for the bowl game and reduce the amount of time the players would have with Roushar.
I say do it now also for recruiting.
