Correct! That's one. When else did we see her?
I'm a big fan of Ronnie Pearlman. There was always something super sexy about her.
Also, Kima's topless lesbo scene is terrific.
Players play, tough players win.
Just saw her in Season 5, outside a holding a baby
Not exactly. Think much earlier.
In case you were wondering what Kima is up to these days...
After filming HBOs streets for the role of a lifetime.
Grantland is holding a tournament for the greatest character. They screwed up by having the #1 seeds playing the #2 seeds in the second round, but hopefully they fix it.
Just voted. Omar is going to roll through the bracket like the '09 Carolina team.
Remind yourself. Nobody built like you, you design yourself.
Wow, McNulty a 3-seed?
Treme is pretty awesome. Music is crazy good. Steve Zaan is hillarous and I hate the junkie dude.
Simmons said he's going to lead his staff to the vacants for that decision.
He also said that the 1-2 errors in the second round was because of whoever made the graphic and that it's going to be fixed before the matchups.
I'm putting all my money on Cool Lester Smooth making the Final Four.
Well someone had to draw Omar as the 1st round match up. Might as well make it the most pathetic guy in the show. I loved him as a character, but it just seems so fitting that after all the dumb shit he screwed up and bad luck he gave himself that of course he get's Omar as his first matchup.
I'm surprised they didn't include Slim Charles in the tournament
Wow does this bracket suck. 32 spots means they apparently stopped watching after the first episode of season 1.
No kidding. If ever there was a show worthy of a 68-spot bracket, it's the Wire. Biggest omissions:
Horseface (somebody's gotta be in the play-in game)
Kenard (1-16 matchup with Omar)
Shardene (Because I do believe Lester Freamon is in the mood for love)
We all know it's going to be Stringer vs. Omar in the final.
I think something way more interesting would be a best scenes/moments on The Wire tournament. Now that's a tough one.
That East Baltimore region is rough. Marlo, Lester, Stringer and Bodie. Tough call.
Calmer than you are
Slim Charles and Carver got robbed by not being in the field. Bubbles with the only first round major upset beating out Clay Davis.
Here is Mike Schur's response and his 64 team bracket.
We've already recapped Day 1 of Smacketology for you earlier this morning, but let's take another opportunity to address our reader feedback. Say what
This thread -- and then the Grantland bracket -- has me back on a Wire kick. I'm rewatching Season 4, and making my girlfriend (a teacher, no pics) watch too. She likes Dukie. She's really going to hate me in a few weeks.
I just rewatched the first episode from season 2 and noticed another connection to Treme. In the final episode of Treme season 2 ("Do Whatcha Wanna"), Jacques and Janette are at the Fais Do Do stage at Jazz Fest and see The Iguanas perform "Oye, Isabel". That's the same song that is playing on Officer Russell's headphones when she's driving through the stacks before stumbling upon the shipping container full of dead hookers. That just blew my mind.
lil michael, and brotha muzon! i think thats how you spell the lasy one
I stopped participating after that shit. Also, some asshole trashed Brother Mouzone in a piece on Grantland. Fuck those assholes.
RIP Prop Joe
"Look the part, be the part, muthaf*cker"
The Baltimore actor and teacher portrayed one of television's most unforgettable characters as Proposition Joe on HBO's 'The Wire,' died Thursday of apparent heart failure in his sleep at his home
Until five days ago I had never watched a second of The Wire, but I've started getting the DVDs from Netflix. A couple of days ago I watched S01E05 and I finally figured where you got your name from. Until then, I always figured it was some rapper reference.
I'm only through nine episodes by Freamon is the best.
ps. thanks to all RCMBer recommendations for The Wire in various threads over the past couple of years. I'm hooked.
