Was at that Palace show. First show was Bon Jovi wsg Extreme at PINE Knob, 1993.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
March 20, 1987
Beastie Boys with Fishbone and Murphy's Law
Tom Petty at The Palace...'92 or '93 (I think)
92 or 93. Ice Cube, Lench Mob, Esham at the Temple Theater, Sagnasty. Predator Tour
Wow, this is a tough one. If I only count name bands, I think it was Eric Burdon and the Animals (just called "the Animals" back then) at the Blue Light in Midland, by God, Michigan in 1965 or 66. The Blue Light was a cheesy little teen club, I believe on Ashman between the Circle and downtown. My favorite band there was the Bossmen, Dick Wagoner's band before the Frost and Alice Cooper.
Aerosmith and KISS
Went to the show with my dad, I was only in 8th grade. KISS came out guns a blazin' with Detroit Rock City Big fan ever since.
Brenda Lee (Rockin Around the Christmas Tree, etc.)
Kalamazoo County Fair
Mid to late 1980's

July 27, 1975 Cobo Arena - The Rolling Stones
Hall and Oates
Kalamazoo Wings Stadium

Rogue Leader= Obese coward who didn't attend MSU and has no college degree
July 20, 1975. Peter Frampton, Yes, Dave Mason and Ace at the Eastern Michigan Football Stadium. It was a Sunday and started early so we couldn't buy any beer on the way to the concert. That's about all I remember.
Men at Work at the old Lansing Civic Center. INXS opened for them.
If memory serves correctly,
Battle Creek Balloon Festival
Somewhere in the mid eighties
Slightly Stoopid and Snoop Dogg joint concert (no pun intended).
Festival Pier @ Penns Landing
Mickey Avalon opened with "My D$#K"
Wow. These two are the same for me - I think I saw Stryper a couple of years earlier, but Poison/Ratt was the same - except at Wings Stadium.
Tool (opener, Meshuggah).
tBres, October 2002.
Third row. Hell of a show, and amazing seats, to start with.
Although actually I was at Street Scene in San Diego (a big outdoor festival) in August 2002. Saw the Violent Femmes (amazing), De La Soul, Bad Religion (solid), Social Distortion (solid), Live (terrible), and STP (terrible). But you can't really enjoy the music that much at huge outdoor festivals, especially if you're trying to jump from stage to stage.
May 1970, not even close to my first concert, but a memorable one because it was a great lineup and it was at MSU, outdoors. Here's a list of the bands:

The Tubes (w/ The Romantics opening)
I was a junior in HS, and my parents allowed me to go as long as I stayed with my older brother since he was a student there at the time....didn't see him the whole weekend...
Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band
Joe Louis Arena
1979 Monroe County Fair Tomah, WI - Head East We were in 8th grade. My mom dropped my friends and I off, and picked us up after the show.
My first real show, not involving the parents for some form of transportation - Dane County Coliseum. 1980 Cheap Trick Dream Police Tour. Off Broadway was the opener. Regional midwest band based in Chicago, IIRC. They were really good. For those who may remember the songs, but not the band, they did 'Stay in Time', 'Full Moon Turn my Head Around', etc.
