I met the guy that got stomped on by Laettner in that game. He used to work with my ex-girlfriend at CareerBuilder. He didn't like to talk about it apparently.
what? about working at CareerBuilder?
Yeah. I guess it's the first rule of working at CareerBuilder.
Damn you cocaine.
hoke- to alter or manipulate so as to give a deceptively or superficially improved quality or value.
I saw the pictures of him in the hotel room. That guy crashed hard.
the book "The Chris Farley Show" by his brother Tommy is amazing yet dark. There's an interview with the kid who pressured Chris into having his first beer as a senior in HS - talk about someone completely guilt ridden.
"If you have the right to be offended I have the right to offend you." - Ricky Gervais
He would have had a beer eventually in college.
My buddies used to force me to drink as well. I just wanted wine coolers, but then no, they made fun of that and wanted me to drink beer. At least Bartles and James appreciated my support.
Same thing in college. My buddies wouldn't let me leave their apt until I smoked up with them.
But I turned out alright. At least the argument could be made.
That guy needs to realize it's not his fault. http://vimeo.com/27846617
He did. I know a couple of guys that went to school with Farely at Marquette and partied with him regularly. They will tell you that the characters Chris played were actually just like him.
probably, considering he went to Marquette which was a huge party school during the 80's, but one of the reason's Chris didn't drink was because his dad was an alcoholic.
There are legendary stories of Chris at Marquette. One of my favorites is getting on the pool table at the old bar "The Avalanche" and taking a dump when they stopped serving him.
I too remember when ESPN was good.
I miss Farley.
Keeping the sunshiners in check since 2000.
Exactly. It's not like he was never going to drink or do drugs.
There's a time and a place for everything and it's called college.
EDIT: I guess I mean "well-written".
