Rich Rod's 2010 class may go down as the worst in Michigan history, for a variety of reasons. He neglected DL, and especially OL recruiting basically completely...which is like, HUGE and left UM with no depth on either line whatsoever. And let's not get into the actual "quality", geesh....
The actual 5-star type talents he did bring in, which weren't many, either left school quickly or never made it to school...or had such inept coaching under his coaching staff(especially defensively) that it didn't even matter.
Geeze it's amazing what an 8-5 year can do for a fan base. Remember when 8-5 was horrible for UM and 7-6 was awesome for State? My how the tables have turned.
My friend, a brief review of your posting history would lead even Helen Keller to the conclusion that your a dyed in the wool scUM fan masquerading here on Tailgate. Only a scUM fan would dismiss classes ranked 7,8 and 13 as "shitty".
Get a real handle, drop the charade, and come out of the closet.
True, but a team that starts with bunch of five star guys at least has a chance to win it.
Neither will we, or anyone from the big ten for that matter.
It's more up to the coaching though. Talent doesn't win ball games, preparation and coaching play a much larger role.
I thought message boards were more important then talent?
One game? Sure.
But who was the last team to win a national championship With two and three star recruits?
1/3 of the game, yo.
The problem now is that Dantonio is going for the same recruits Hoke/Urban even southern schools are going for.
The upside is that MSU has upped our expectations and we have high goals.
But if we're going to compete with them we're going to have to step it up somehow.
Lmfao!!! Sharty is soooo bad hahaha #bradyhoke #team135
