It's time rocket. He's a jealous old hag.
Do it- I'm tired of reading Duffy's posts attacking Jack Passion over the posters Spartan card.
He's not a Spartan. He might go to MSU, but he's not a Spartan.
Now knowing what 1995 is like all over again! Thank you 247 technology!!
so you need to be drunk to enjoy a basketball game vs. Ohio State? It was a 6pm tip...you have hours and hours to get shitfaced after the game. you're made because you were one of the last people to show up....so next time show up earlier.
They did the same crap in Football back then. I started in 98 and it was based on class or how long you had the student tickets, then they changed it to whoever got in line first. I always hated it because I liked to tailgate, the kids who didn't had good seats because they would wait in line at 8am.
IMO it should be based on how long you have had the tickets, every year you get better seats. Put the freshman up top and have them work their way down.
But almost all of the people that camped out did sit down low. And almost all of the people that didn't camp out sat upstairs. Being in the Izzone for a long time doesn't entitle anyone to a guaranteed lower bowl seat. You know the rules, and now you know how excited other people are to get there for big games. Recognize that you need to get there a little earlier the next time and do it.
I'm not saying that I like all of the attention whoring and costumes and on and on, but getting beat out for lower bowl seats doesn't seem like a national tragedy. By most accounts, the Izzone was rocking tonight, so it's tough to argue with the aggregate result.
You looked sweet in your morph suit brah. I saw you on ESPN! Everyone knows who you are now.
That is how football tickets used to be for students, and it was awesome...If you really wanted to move around to be with friends nobody really cared unless it was way up front(or under the overhang during a rain storm)

Sorry, that's not your call.
Ok, so what's your suggestion? How do you get the people in the lower bowl without basing it on how early they get there? Just because a person is a senior it doesn't mean they will be loud all game while avoiding texting. Without an incentive to do so people won't get there early and the Izzone will be mostly empty during shootarounds.
So how do you get the best people in the lower bowl, while also making sure they get there early?
We are not the same, I am a Spartan
THIS THIS THIS. GET TO THE GAME 3-HOURS BEFORE BUT DRINK WHEN YOU ARE IN LINE. YOU WONT GET IN TROUBLE. NOBODY THAT ISN'T A DICK GIVES A SHIT. WHY AM I YELLING. WHY ARE GRAPEFRUITS SUCH AN ODD COMBINATION OF TWO FRUITS.
edit: If you go to all the campouts, get to 95% of every game for three years an hour before the game, don't miss any, you should go into a different gate and have a vip card or some shit. But you better bring it (be drunk)

Michigan State University is the university of Michigan
The current system does not encourage socialising with friends and drinking before games. It's how it is. Shame.
Is there anything more played out here than the "izzone haters"? Oh man telletubies they want attention, newsflash there was always attention whores see Bongajon.
Bingo! And I got downvoted for saying there should be assigned seats. Just because you get there 3 hours before tip doesn't mean you will be louder.
There's a time and a place for everything and it's called college.
Complaining now makes no sense. If you didn't like the rules, you should have been complaining before the season. The rules are laid out, you knew ahead of time this could happen, but you didn't plan for that. I could understand more you had a class til 5 or something, but if it's the rules you disagree with, don't wait until they affect you to complain about them.
Personally, I don't think they should allow any upper-bowlers down until some set time before the game, maybe hand out tickets to everyone who is in line at a certain time, then however many are left send to the upper bowl line. The fact that someone can show up before gates even open and get moved up is kind of ridiculous.
get the new Nike MSU font: http://tinyurl.com/spartansfont
start drinking at noon. bring booze to drink while in line(at least 2 hrs early) and a bit more to sneak in for the game. its not hard(especially with winter coats) and you should have figured this out by now.

What a sense of entitlement. Here's a theory, the people more willing to get there earlier are in fact more hardcore fans that will bring it during the game. Assigning seats breeds apathy.
it does, however, encourage those who holds being at the game and supporting the team getting the better seats over those who think drinking and socializing are more important. Somehow I can't quite see how that's a bad thing.
My first year in the Izzone was 2003/2004. There was assigned seating. The section was embarrassingly apathetic. The Izzone was often less full than the green seats ten to fifteen minutes before the game. I don't think assigned seating would solve any problems other than creating a later arriving crowd and decreasing the accountability on members to show up and do work.
Exactly! And everyone accepted it and didn't bitch about it. I was a freshman, I knew I wasn't getting great seats, my Jr. Year, I had pretty good seats. My Senior year they effed it all up!
My buddies and I camped out before tO$U game last year and it was a riot. Had speakers, bags boards, a bunch of booze and some cigars.
I'm scared of what I won't become. You're scared of what I will become. Become Legendary
