The only time Wisconsin has beat a team in the NCAA tournament with a seed higher than 5 (1,2,3, or 4) was in 2000. By comparison, MSU has done it in the following years:

By lower do you mean 5 - 16 or 1 - 4? 1 is a higher seed than 16.
Sorry, edited for clarity.
Try editing again to call it higher seed.

Here's the Bo Ryan tourney resume in all its glory (updated for 2013):
Ncaa tournament appearances
2002, 8 seed, beat 9 seeded St Johns, lost to 1 seed Maryland
2003, 5 seed, beat 12 seed Weber St, beat 13 seed Tulsa, lost to 1 seed Kentucky
2004, 6 seed, beat 11 seed Richmond, lost to 3 seed Pitt
2005, 6 seed, beat 11 seed No Iowa, beat 14 seed Bucknell, beat 10 seed NC State, lost to 1 seed UNC
2006, 9 seed, lost to 8 seed Arizona
2007, 2 seed, beat 15 seed Tex A&M-CC, lost to 7 seeded UNLV
2008, 3 seed, beat 14 seed Cal St Fullerton, beat 11 seed Kansas State, lost to 10 seed Davidson
2009, 12 seed, beat 5 seed Florida State (in OT), lost to 4 seed Xavier
2010, 4 seed, beat 13 seed Wofford, lost to 12 seed Cornell
2011, 4 seed, beat 13 seed Belmont, beat 5 seed Kansas State, lost to 8 seed Butler
2012, 4 seed, beat 13 seed Montana, beat 5 seed Vanderbilt, lost to 1 seed Syracuse
2013, 5 seed, lost to 12 seed Ole Miss
So, Bo Ryan has only beaten a team seed worse than him once, in the first round of the tournament, and it took OT to do it.
He’s never beaten a team seeded better than 5th.
Overall in the tournament, Bo is:
15-5 against teams seeded worse than him
1-7 against teams seeded better than him
In summary, Wisconsin sucks.
but wait... the've won B1G championships...
Nίκη για MSU
Damn, and they're getting worse.
Thank you, Denicos.
Unpossible. That happened before Bo became coach. The program didn't exist before then. Dick Bennett ran a solid intramural though. Lol.

It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Spartan!!!!
But alot of times they only loss by a few points. So they have that going for them.
Yeah, sphincters tight enough to turn coal into diamonds.

At a glance it looks like the vast majority of their wins are against double-digit seeds.
under careful arithmetic it looks like the vast majority of their wins are against double-digit seeds.
their response is something like "you cant determine who you play in later rounds...its not our fault we got to an elite 8 by playing a 12, 11, and a 10". but then you simply ask them why they cant make a sweet 16 when they have to play a top 4 team

Seeds Bo has beaten: 9, 12, 13, 11, 11, 14, 10, 15, 14, 11, 5*, 13, 13, 5, 13, 5
Seeds Bo has lost to: 1, 1, 3, 1, 8, 7, 10, 4, 12, 8, 1, 12
*Beat 5 seed FSU as a 12 - the ONLY time he's beaten a higher seed than his team. He's 16-12 in the NCAA Tourney - only 4 of those wins are vs. single digit seeds, (3 5s and a 9).
vadgers gonna vadge.....I watched that game on my phone today and Wisky coudn't throw it into the ocean from the beach AND they got NO flop calls from the refs...a good team would've beat them by 20 or more.
