Rumors floating around that GT desperately wants to join the B1G too. IMHO this would be a terrible move if it happens. GT bring nothing other than good acedemics. GA market is dominated by UGA and SEC schools, they are terrible in football and basketball, and have one of the lowest student-athlete graduation rates. I also don't want to see gimmicky triple option every week
Yellow Jackets also would face $50 million exit fee
Jesus, the B1G is becoming the Sasha Grey of college football. Who wants in? You? You too? You guys over there? Sure, there is room for all of you.
any worse than the gimmicky spread?
atlanta is a top five TV market....all that matter$
GT is a Northwestern clone. Middle of a major market that they don't have a handle on, great academics, mediocre sports, tepid fan base.
only if UNC comes with it
"Put your mother in a straight-jacket you punk ass white boy." ~ Mike Tyson
I don't think Paul Johnson will be around for too long.
Atleast northwestern pulls off a major upset every year. Ga Tech just flat out blows
Also I think NW is a rising star under fitz. Can't say the same about Ga Tech
Would give us a chance to see the Izzo vs Brian Gregory matchup!
Atlanta is filled with transplants from all over the south. For college sports, heavily dominated by Alabama, Auburn, UGA, and Florida fans. GT probably counts for 10-15% of college football watchers in Atlanta, I would guess based on what football saturdays look like on/near campus.
I want option football in the B10!!
HIRE HIM AS THE OC
I think Delaney will poach two more ACC teams.
He is trying to neuter the ACC and Big East.
I think he will also love to see Notre Dame get screwed by making the ACC irrelevant in the end for not joining.
Ga Tech is playing in the ACC Championship
Rogue Leader= Obese coward who didn't attend MSU and has no college degree
Because Miami isn't.
They are a 6-6 team.

Delany just wants TV eyeballs and Atlanta fits one of the two remaining markets he needs
Yeah I would love to see Maxwell run the triple option...
We shouldn't have expanded to 14 schools. If we expand any more my interest in football will wane.
It's the best offense ever.
I think the expansion was more to expand B1GN reach to HUGE markets in DC/MD area and to give the shaft to ND. Delany is like a jilted lover who says, "If I can't have you, ND, I will make sure no one can".
Now i am very certain, FSU will be gone soon, most likely to SEC or B12. Clemson too. East coast shitty teams are fucked. And so is ND id FSU and Clemson leave. Who wants to play UCONN (which will be the most likely add), probation riddled U, and crappy UNC and duke in football every year

this has been a terrible day
Leave the south to the rednecks. Stick to contiguous states.
Vim -- noun: robust energy and enthusiasm : VITALITY
Don't forget it is talent too. Georgia puts almost as many players into the NFL as Ohio does. Increasing the BIG Ten presence there can only help get a few more North.
Oh. Then GT will never fire him.
