I am rooting for the Irish for one reason and one reason only...because it will bother the UM folk if ND wins.
I don't know any major ND fans and they don't often venture to the RCMB, so I won't be bothered by them. Plus, another ND national title in the television era will make for even more hilarious comments by Wal-Marters on how UM is the greatest football team all-time. The top two rivals for UM will both have BCS national titles.
Holy shit!! You are crazy, Jim!! Crazy!!
That's some pretty crazy logic there, Crazy Jim.
I'm all about screwing Michigan as often as possible, but I want to see Bama win because it more directly hurts one of our rivals. Can't stand the Irish at about the same clip as the Walverines
University of Michigan: Keeping ugly girls out of East Lansing since 1837!
Here is an article about ND and Alabama national titles that contains several interesting tidbits. The most interesting to me was that Alabama claims a national title in 1941 when they had 2 losses and were ranked 20 in the AP. That year Minnesota was undefeated but did not go to a bowl game. Alabama was ranked number 1 by some nut named Deke Houlgate.
Alabama claims 14, but counted only six until the mid-1980s. Notre Dame claims 11, but could add 10 more by using Alabama's math.
ND succeeding is not in our best interest. Roll Tide!
I am not rooting for the hypocrites from South Bend.
ND fans are everywhere, and they are just as bad as UM fans or SEC fans. At least Alabama fans don't pretend to care about anything else. ND fans like to trumpet how they have preserved the tradition of the student-athlete, but in reality have sold out for football. Fuck Notre Dame.
I don't really like UM or their fans but wow that's quite a stretch.
Holy Shit!!! I almost care!!!
I hold no ill will toward Alabama, last year I rooted for them over that crazy LSU guy from UM.
If you were part of the 10-10 tie, you couldn't cheer, cheer for old Notre Dame, I'm telling you that!
UMAA alums really, really hate ND, probably due to their academic standing. Different sort of hatred than their feelings toward OSU. Their butthurt would be a nice consolation if Bama can't win, but Roll Damn Tide.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
I... I hadn't thought of it that way.
ND just dumped SCum off of their schedule so why should they care?

OP is crazy. FND.

105 minutes and I haven't attracted any UM idiots to this thread?
Not only will ND push their "national titles on color TV" count even higher than UM's, but they are going to pass UM in win percentage and total wins with the great and admirable Brian Kelly at the helm!
F Notre Dame. We recruit directly against ND far more than we do against Alabama. Roll Tide! Embarass the Irish!
Your trolling fail just took another dive. You'd do better with scUM walvies on a scUM board.
Ha! That is where you are wrong! Walvies and Walvies pretending to be Spartans can drive an RCMB thread to 15 pages in a few hours!
Besides, all of the Walvie message boards haven't updated their websites since 1999 and they hurt my eyes, so I am relegated to trolling for them here. I know at least a few of them have auto-alert systems tied into the RCMB so that they can defend UM at every turn.
If ND wins, it will make it even harder for MSU to recruit in the Midwest. As sick as it makes me, I will probably go with Bama.
If you can do a half-assed job of anything, you're a one-eyed man in a kingdom of the blind.

ND is currently ranked #1, has the #1 recruiting class, has the #1 graduation rate, and will soon again have the #1 overall winning percentage.
Nothing that happens tonight is going to affect MSU in any way.
This. But, hanging a loss on Saban and the SEC followed by a Spartan win in South Bend next year has a really good ring to it too. How bout if it goes to a tie, say 10-10, followed by a meteorite landing in the middle of the stadium.
No chance of Domer's winning from the start. Now behind 42-7 in the 4th. Waste of air space. Saban looks like a prick none the less. ND players getting beat up.

Too bad we never win any recruiting battles against ND. Its more that ND recruits against Michigan and Ohio State as well as the rest of the country.
Fuck ND though!
Not really. Do you see us winning any recruiting battles against ND prior to this? Just sayin. Which guys are we pullin in that they wanted? Either way we have a hard time recruiting against them which absolutely blows and pisses me off. Them winning or losing will not affect us. Plus they recruit nationally so they're getting in guys that we're most likely not recruiting. We have a long way to go to compete with ND in recruiting. Hate the Irish!
