I read Bama is giving only 13 points to UM for the Fall opener in Texas Stadium. Applying the old rule of thumb that defenses are generally ahead of offenses to start the season, this seems like easy money.
Denard's arm punting aside, UM has lost its (a) best O-lineman (Molk), (b) their best DT (Martin), (c) their best DEs (Henninger; Van Bergen), (d) their best TE (Koger), (e) their best WR (Hemingway), and guys like Countess (who was plain awful in the Splenda Bowl) are real question marks. And since really no team can run the ball on Bama, that means Denard will resort to a cringe-inducing "passing attack" and other gimmicks to offset its complete lack of physicality.
Bama lost a few players too...but its Bama...and, well, its UM.
13 pts? Maybe Vegas didn't read the memo where meeeeechigan is back!
And yes, kill that line.
Some of the MGoBloggers are saying this is a great chance to pick Michigan since Alabama is favored by "way too much".
I've never bet on sports in my life but this could be a fantastic opportunity. Our 11-1 BTC team lost by 42 points to a 9-3 Bama. We physically abused Michigan last year, whereas Alabama injured, literally, 9 or 10 of our starters in the Capital One Bowl.
I'm honestly expecting some injuries for Michigan in this game. I don't want to see it, but Alabama has a team full of athletic monsters that can break Denard in half. This is not good for Michigan.
Remember, LSU put up 40+ on Georgia in the SEC CG. They scored 0 against Alabama. They didn't cross the 50 until the second half. A lot of Michigan's offense revolves around Denard throwing up prayers or just runnning around. Obviously he won't be able to run very much, if at all. Touissant? HA
This all depends on how many points Alabama can score because I wouldn't be surprised if Michigan is unable to break double digits. Virginia Tech almost tripled their yardage in the Sugar Bowl "fergodsakes". I'm hoping the dumbass [walverines] start moving that line toward Blue's side, in which case I will be dropping a couple Benjamins down on the Tide.
What are the odds on a Michigan player trying to steal the giant video screen at Cowboy Stadium?
Better than scum covering 13 pts
Yes. Do this.
This is my prediction...
his best play 100%
Michigan State University is the university of Michigan
nah, delusional UM fan will bet this down to about -10 or -11 and then you can back up the Dump truck full of cash
If Bama is favored by anything less than 2 TD's leading up to that game, I can say with 100% conviction it will be the single largest bet I have ever placed on a game in my life, and I generally bet 2-5 games a weekend during cfb season.
I don't think Saban will have any problem running up the score on Fat Man.
Game lines won't be out until June. They usually release season win Over/Unders and "Game of the Year" lines then.
The number for the Michigan/Alabama game will be somewhere between Bama -10.5 and Bama -13.5
Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?
