his douche baggery is COMPLETE...."that officiating was the worst I've seen in a big time game"...........and sadly Patrick follows SUIT with saying that UM got the short end of the stick. I can see Gottlieb and his credit card stealing sorry ass saying that, but Patrick? DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN.............
....Patrick's stat of the day was sublime btw: Albrecht's 17 pts. was a career high: last time a player in the natty had a career high was Udonis Haslem against MSU in 2000 when he had 27 pts

How they missed McGary kicking the ball is beyond me
Well, on Saturday, Gottlieb said the same thing about the Morgan flop and Michigan being handed the game. He was pretty consistent in his criticism of officiating.

Officiating is quickly becoming a major issue in college basketball, not only is it killing the flow of games, the watchability of games, in situations like Ohio State and Indiana living to play another day poor officiating changed the outcome of the game.
All I will say about the championship game is the officiating was as shitty for that game as the other 67 games played in the tournament.
The officiating in that game was criminal, Dan. That game was most definitely stolen from the Michigan Wolverines.
scum got screwed out of 7 points, not doubt.
And burke flopped hard in the last two minutes, drew BS fouls and stopped the clock.
And ul pounded the inside all second half, the majority of their drives ended with the shooter on the ground, and they got hammered repeatedly on putbacks, yet they only had 1 and-one somehow, and didn;t even sniff the bonus until intentional fouls got them there with 30 seconds left.
um in bonus and then double bonus for good portion of second half.
At one point both teams had shot the same amount of FTs..despite ul taking 10 more shots in the second half.
Officiatiing is terrible in every basketball game. It's the buggest epidemic facing the college game.
meh, Dakich loved it and said they "let them play" and that's how CBB use to be.
Gottlieb seriously makes me sick.....the fact he gets paid and has 0 basketball knowledge is beyond me.....fuck him and fuck scum
To die in ann arbor is redundant
The first 10 minutes of the Memphis game were great, tough basketball with almost no whistles, then the refs changed everything and dragged the game down. That was the best stretch of ref-free basketball I've seen in a long time.
Watch out, zebras!
Your a retard.
The officiating was consistently sub par throughout the tourney and it translated to the Championship Game. That is a given.
How did he get a job on espn, he must know somebody
Your Wolverine tears taste like sugar.
They are right that the refs sucked ass in that game but 2/3 of the bad calls were favorable to SCum.

It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Spartan!!!!
College hoops officiating is abysmal, but when a team is in the double bonus for many minutes and still loses by more than five points, you're reaching. This is like a football team getting five PI calls for their side and losing.
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
Officiating across the board is atrocious in college athletics. You've got guys like Lemonier, and Witvoet on the fball field. Valentine, Burr, Higgins, Eades on the bball court. And Macinchak, Pochmara etc. on the ice. It's a complete joke the characters managing these games. Geriatrics trying to keep up with their part time Job while running their law firms and schools the rest of the time.
"losing Caleb Benenoch is a blow that Dantonio will never recover from. Izzo has lost it as well. Hoke and Beilein own the state."
He's a massive douche but I'm glad he is saying it. The officiating was terrible both ways.
The observation is correct, but the causation is problematic. Yes, the officiating in last night's game was poor. But in terms of the outcome, it was an issue for both teams to overcome and wasn't an issue in terms of who won and who lost. Better team won....the outcome was fair......

Gottlieb is right - that was a horribly officiated game. i mean, some glaring and obvious calls were simply missed. However, I completely disagree about the part where he (or Dan Patrick) says that UM got the short end of the stick. UM was in the bonus with 12 minutes left, and the doiuble bonus with almost 5 minutes left. Louisville never even got to the bonus Unless it was at the very end when UM was fouling. The officiating saved UM and kept them in the game.
no offense, but he has said himself he is not paid to be right. He is paid to stir conversation. Don't understand why folks don't understand this. It's why all those blowhards have jobs.
How many times was McGary called for moving screens?
The officiating sucks in every college basketball game ever. At lest in the tourney it seemed to suck both ways.
