If called correctly he would have lasted 15 minutes in that game.
He seriously should have fouled out in the first half. I'm not kidding.
Wolverine tears probably taste like landfill.
M would have been down 15 with 4 minutes to go had it not been for touch foul theater on their drives. Meanwhile Behanan is getting ass raped on the other end.
Dieng at one point just backed away from burke to the point where he was almost outside of the charge circle on the other side of the hoop, yet Trey dives at him and gets the whistle, and a nasty fall.
Again, only M fan could bitch with that foul disparity.
Yep. The officiating was very similar to a lot of other games in one respect. For some reason, college refs now seem to believe the paint should be no-holds-barred while calling touch foul after touch foul on the perimeter. That's one reason why Michigan was in the bonus so quick in the second half while Louisville didn't get there until there were 29 seconds left and Michigan was desperate to foul.

The officiating was poor but it was bad both ways. UM went too long without Burke in the 1st half and stayed with the accountant in there. His threes went to his head and he started to eff up.
Also, Bee line not knowing the foul situation in the last 2 mins is unacceptable under any circumstance.
The moment is eternal
tee hee hee; you quoted a douchebag.
Funny how when MSU fans were complaining about the refs in the Duke game it's nothing but sour grapes but Michigan fans do it and it's okay, gotta love double standards.
But they are. Honestly it was a terribly called game, the officials missed several big high profile calls, the foul on Trey on the clean block, the goaltending, the kicked ball, the Siva clean steal called a foul, a 5 second call on Michigan. But when it comes down to each time down the floor, Michigan got away with murder, there was nothing even close to even that was called in the game. It was 22-11 in foul calls with a couple minutes left, 22-11!!!
A L'ville fan pointed out that several minutes into the 2nd half Michigan had taken 6 shots inside the paint, Louisville had been called for 6 fouls on those shots, at the same time L'ville had taken 12 shots inside the pain and Michigan had been called for 0 fouls on those shots. It was a completely onesided officiated contest with Michigan being the beneficiary.
guilty: but...sometimes even douchebags are right....apparently
What's even worse is MSU fans will even admit a call was bad when it benefits us...UM fans don't do the same. To them it's always the right call.
Sour grapes, or facts? Because we were never up in whistles or fouls against, and ul's runs were never 100% aided by bad calls. Dig in a little deeper before generalizing, bud. Also, everyone here is saying the refs overall were terrible, and for sure missed calls for um, but overall, it was ul who got the short end of the stick.
2 back to back foul calls on MSU (thought both were wrong calls) with about 10 minutes to go with the game within 4 points then afterwards Florida went on their run to get the game into double digits and MSU wasn't able to recover changed that whole game in Fla's favor IMO.
Cannot be physical with teams like Duke or the refs will intervene and they did in that game when MSU still had a punchers chance.
FLO - Rider ?
Marriage is like flying with kids, if the flight had 500 connections, never ended, Ted Striker were your pilot and you ate the fish.
can't disagree....BUT Lville was VERY physical with them and knocked their dicks in the dirt....so why the difference? Ware snapped his leg, so it was game on? I dunno, or it could be that the officiating crews are wildly inconsistent. I'd say it the latter, not the former
Absolutely, refs this whole tournament were wildly inconsistent or made calls that favored certain teams like Ohio State for example.
I have to agree, UL players were getting fouled repeatedly under the hoop on almost every play. I just re watched some of it and there were plays with 3 or 4 fouls on the interior not called against Michigan. Including multiple identical drives from Siva compared to Burke.
refs just don't like calling fouls on smaller guys when they are defending larger players. Nix was the same way, dudes just hammered him and arm barred the crap out him and never a call.
