For someone I always considered a reasonable person, you obviously don't know what you're talking about here.
First, you simply could not have read my post if you call what I said "absolute horse-shit" and "bashing Bell." You're covering for your fellow Mod, that's pretty obvious. The fact is, Bell isn't a "great Spartan" because he is leaving early and, thereby, screwing the program. But I never diminished his contributions as a football player, as you are suggesting. I clearly stated in the post who is worthy of being "a great Spartan" and why. See link below for Mark Dantonio's statement on it.
I'm happy to PM what I posted to you if you want to see it.
Second, did you see Mark Dantonio's statement about Bell leaving early? I wouldn't exactly call it an endorsement, particularly when you consider he's the head coach and must chose his words carefully. You can see the link, below. I think he would agree with my post.
Third, is it really your position, like those I'm responding to in the post, that these early departures "help" the football program? I'd talk to Coach Dantonio for the answer to that one. It's pretty obvious. Bell, Gholdie, and Sims versus those I cited in the "offending" post as staying all four years to help their programs. Yea, we're getting to the Rose Bowl real fast with "help" like that. We're being "gutted" by people that don't have to leave the program, would benefit from staying, and in at least two of the three cases have reasons to return some loyalty to the coaching staff.
Fourth, just to make it clear as I'm not going to "re-post" the terrible, offensive, post: I made it clear it was Bell's choice and God-love-him for it. But I can comment on the wisdom of the choice and that's what I did.
Finally, I never had a post deleted since the inception of this Board, including all its precursors, so, when the post was initially deleted, I thought it was technical error---not the intentional act of a Mod. DMBSpartan had quoted the post in his post and that was still there. I then reposted it. When I realized the Mod had intentionally delted it, I thought he had "lost his mind," as I said in the thread, and I posted it again thinking he hadn't read it very closely (as in took the word of somebody else about its content). So, I posted it intially, then again thinking it was a technical issue, then again astonished anyone who read the post would delete it. The Mod was flat out wrong.
Because somebody disagrees does not give you equitable license to delete a post. There is plenty of flotsam and jetsom on this Board to keep you busy and allow honest discussion, such as my post.
Dantonio has yet to acknowledge the departures of Sims and Gholston, who according to various reports will follow Bell's lead and declare themselves eligible for the NFL Draft.
I want to see BillOGoods and Blanch in a typing competition....who's with me?

Tisk, tisk, tisk, Rocky. We shouldn't pre-judge any poster, should we? Isn't that taught in Mod school? Please, just read my deleted post before you jump to conclusions. I'm happy to PM it to you.
My post refers to Blanch, not you. We move all his ridiculously dumb threads to Wells.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
I'm going to cut out the unimportant parts. You believe that your post was not bashing a player. It was. Just because it is your opinion does not make it welcome or correct to post on this board. It was a one day ban for a terrible post. You are wasting your time trying to justify it.
Just a warning, I took two semesters of typing in high school.
Retain Tanner for a mediation session via PM with the Mod in question. No, make that binding arbitration. Tanner will attached a picture of his Armani suit so you should win hands down.
Well, there are no unimportant parts or else I wouldn't have included them. But I'm happy that we've moved off of "absolute horse-shit." Let's just leave it with this quote from the article I cited, above:
"Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio clearly was not thrilled by Bell's decision, as much as he respected Bell's contributions to this season's 7-6 squad.
"As a 20 year old, Le'Veon faced an extremely difficult decision,'' Dantonio said in a school release. "While I do believe there was both personal and program value in Le'Veon returning for his senior season, I acknowledge the difficult choice he had to make.''
His own coach did not wish him well; he did not call him a "great Spartan"; and he clearly did not say or imply that this in any way helps Bell or MSU program. So, you go ahead and delete Coach Dantonio.
Sorry, Rocky; I acted in haste. At least I admit it.
But, moving this to Wells? I don't want to make a big deal of this, but I think it's helpful this thread stay on the Red Cedar Message Board for all to see. It's a good lesson for Mods to, first, exercise some judgment.
Again, for anyone who wants to read my initial deleted post, I'm happy to PM it them at their request and they can make their own judgment about whether it was appropriately deleted.
I'm glad you've retained your sense of humor.
That sums it up, Pinky.
This is really one of those situations where people just need to say "Good luck!" and get over it. Posting a 2000 word diatribe scolding people for calling Bell a great Spartan as "not appropriate, is not necessary, and is not true" is pretty ridiculous.
You certainly have the right to disagree. However, the point is---talk about flogging a dead horse---it should have, in no way, shape, or form been deleted. But I think you knew that was my point.
That's just a difference of opinion there. Based on the content, I can say with certainty that most if not all moderators would have deleted it.
You are my Favorite Moderator and I respect your being a stand-up guy for any wayward chums.
Are you the guy who still bashes Magic for leaving early?
Nobody is talking about moving this thread to Wells except you. This lack of understanding leads me to believe that you have trouble with context and comprehension...and your one day ban was therefore justified.
The rules for this site say the rods don't need a reason to ban you so STFU. Tanfan got banned for a week by a rod for admittedly no reason at all.

No, in fact, in the deleted post I pointed out there were obvious exceptions, specifically like Magic, where you couldn't be critical of an early departure when a guy is truly ready for all the right reasons to leave early to play professionally. Not to mention he lead us to a NCAA NC.
So, no, that guy is not me.
And your confusing me with some other guy in that regard displays a complete lack of comprehension and understanding of a not-so-subtle concept leading me to believe that the Mod actually thought he was deleting your post when he wrongfully deleted mine and, therefore, you should be thanking me for doing time you should have done.
That settles it, then.
So not true
