I can't believe people cry about not being able to read the board for one frickin' day. Geezuz, go off and get some work done or something.
I don't need to take cues from MD to form an opinion about a player.

Thanks Snake, I missed seeing going over the deep end when he first posted it....Bell not a great Spartan? You sir are an idiot!
35,600 posts and counting since 09-09-2002. tRCMB Dead Pool Commissioner.
That is an interesting diatribe.
I like the cited examples of players who could have left early but didn't (Woolfolk, Lytle, Marcus Allen). One problem...those players could NOT have left early for the NFL. The NFL didn't allow juniors to enter the draft at that time. Herschel wanted to go to the NFL in '82, but he was just a JR...so he had to go to the USFL. Only in '89 when Barry Sanders came out as a JR did the NFL relent (fearing lawsuits).
At this point, I would say an extension of the ban should be considered.
Oh if you only knew about all the behind the scenes communication about this. There have been MANY good reasons for why we do things.

Thanks for posting it, Snake.
Bell "selfish"? Since when is following your dream a selfish act? The selfish labels belongs to anyone who thinks that Bell should delay HIS life altering decision merely to satisfy their short-term Saturday afternoon gridiron interests.
I read the news today, oh boy .. ..
About a lucky man who made the grade
they see them modding, they hating.
Well I don't get to see the behind the scenes communications. So to the average RCMB asshole like me, it appears that tanner was banned for no reason and that you can ban whoever you want, whenever you want for what ever reason you want. Which I have no problem with. In fact I think it should be a game you guys play. See how many posters you can ban without being called out by one of their schticks.
That was funny as shit.
Thank you, Denicos.
Bump. Mods, lock the Grant Hill/Jabari Parker thread.
No point to it except for people (not necessarily the OP) to insinuate that Duke made some kind of recruiting violation. Petty.
Well, you're an independent thinker and that is to your credit. On the other hand, you're not very impressed with the opinion of experts. Most of the time that's a good policy. Here, however, Mark Dantonio recruited these guys, knows them and their families, has coached them for three or more years, and probably has an opinion which, in this situation, should be given significant respect.
So, while you may not need to take his cues, as is your right, there's no apparent evidence your point of view should be given more weight than Coach Dantonio's. That's not a dis, just objectivity.

He typed all that nonsense and only got a day... and now he's spent 2 pages bitching about it?
I got a 4? day bowl ban for saying (I guess, was never told), that a certain poster got an underscore in their name because they gargle 247's balls (which was true... the ball gargling part... I'm not sure about the underscore).
Get over it, Bill.
Well, yes, I am very serious.
While I don't expect to get a response to my questions, which is fine, there is, without sounding too pompous, a larger principle at work here. I have been a poster on this Board and all its precursors since inception, give or take three or four months. I have always contributed my share, followed whatever rules existed, never had a post deleted, am a VIP Member, and have consistently added in a positive way to the discussion. Then, out of the blue, I have a perfectly fine post deleted by a Mod who I think never read the post and took somebody else's word for deleting it. Then, when he's called to account "why" by other posters, not me, his explanations are untrue and lame as a wet noodle.
So, I am serious. I hope the offending Mod has learned a lesson. His decision was 110% wrong. He exercised poor judgment. Then made stuff up to make himself look justified in the deletion.
As I have offered before, I am happy to send you a PM or email with the allegedly offending deleted post and you can decide for yourself if it warranted being deleted. Just let me know.
Holy hell. Someone needs to reevaluate the priorities in his life.
Let me openly state that if you respond one more time in this thread I will personally ban you for 2 weeks. Agree...disagree...know that I will do it and you have no recourse. Step away from your keyboard and shake the stink off you (Thanks for that Tanfan). You'll know why and you'll know who did it.
I didn't notice you posted my post. Yea, hide that baby in small type---warn the women and children about it. The Mod who decided to delete it said it I "defamed" a football player. Why don't you, Mr. Pissken, tell us where the defamation is in that post. Tell me what part of the post warranted deletion. It's a little hard to read in the format you have there, but what part of that post is even wrong?
If you decide to answer those question, explain why Mark Dantonio's official statement on the matter is pretty much saying what I just said, but somehow my post is reduced to 2 point type. Dantonio's statement had to be couched in different terms, but any moron gets his drift. He's pissed off. And he's likely going to be pissed off about Sims and Gholdie, too.
Living A Spartan Life!
here is something snake won't say but is probably thinking:
SHUT THE FUCK UP ITS A MESSAGE BOARD
I warned you. You are welcome to come back in 2 weeks and discuss this but I highly suggest you don't.
I'll say "He gone"
Reminds me of a guy who wound up in max security prison for life - solitary. His initial arrest was for shoplifting and has never seen freedom since. Kept committing more crimes while in lock up, including murder,
Sad story Bill O
Well...there is the part where you cited players who could have left for the NFL, but came back for their senior seasons...when, in fact, those players COULDN'T have left for the NFL draft as Juniors because the NFL didn't allow Juniors to be eligible for the draft.
I noticed you didn't address that. Maybe you can when you come back in 2 weeks.
This is great. Snake with the ban hammer, FTW!
I did warn him
