2014 is a weak WR class....
Already rated a 95 on 247, mid 4-star and a top 90 player overall.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Nope, already a 5.9 mid 4-star on Rivals. Try again .
Oh, and he's a 4-star and in among the top 40 on Scout.
I saw the state championship game, and he looked like Randy Moss going for 240+ yards on 8 catches. He's very fast, very fluid and runs well after the catch. Did I mention he can catch?
Wait so he is the #1 receiver in the country, but not the #1 receiver in the state?
So we're basically getting what Alabama got with Julio Jones a few years ago?
Or do I need to calm down a bit?
Potentially. Though I think MSU will get a lot more production out of Harris than Bama got out of Jones.
Put it this way: He's tall, he's fast, he gets open with no problem, and he catches the ball well (with his hands, not his body).
There were passes that weren't thrown well that took him into traffic, and he came down with it.
There was a high pass that he went up for, and as the ball arrived, the DB took out his legs. Even as he was flipped and landed on his head, he held onto the ball.
When he catches the ball in stride, or in the open field, he's gone.
He set the all time receiving record for the state of Michigan last season. Next year probably won't be so productive with a new QB, but he's a stud nonetheless.

Please let one of our young quarterbacks be the real deal.
Thanks for the link.
Good lord. He looks even better than I was picturing.
+1 for the link.
I didn't realize what a great blocker he is too.
When you look at Terry's highlight reel, and then look at Harris', it's not hard to imagine some very big plays coming about after a scramble, or a seemingly broken play. Neither of them ever give up on a play.
Does anybody have a different link for this? For some reason it won't run properly for me.

hoke- to alter or manipulate so as to give a deceptively or superficially improved quality or value.
Interesting how most of the long passes look like punts. I wonder if their QB threw the long balls up so high because of his height advantage.
Think of a cross between Charles Rogers and Plaxico Burress. On the field, of course.
It's hard to compare a junior in HS with a pro, but he is tall and lanky with good hops and he catches it with his hands, he also has great body control. He reminds me of Randy Moss, but not as fast although he does have 4.4 speed.
So based on the responses, we are getting a cross between Randy Moss, Larry Fitzgerald, Charles Rogers, and Plaxico Burress?
I'll take it, I guess.
I'm still waiting for Devin Thomas part 2 the staff was claiming they had out of camp last year.
Jesus guys - comparing a junior in HS to Bieletnekoff winners and Pro Bowlers....settle down a bit.
That catch sold me, that was one hell of a grab.
How about Sammie Watkins?

Not sure if this was posted elsewhere, but he got an official offer from OSU today.
More like a HS Moss than the other names listed, who are much more physical players. He's young and could fill out, but is tall and skinny now.
His build is a lot like Sidney Rice.
In Green and White he will look a lot like Charles Rogers. Not sure if he can get up to the weight Plaxico was at. Rogers was a little slighter.
Wow that is late for a talent like Harris.
Is there any other link for his junior highlights other than that one?!?! :((((((((((
