A three-game losing streak at this point in the season is worrying enough, but it's the way we've lost the last two that is concerning. We've looked good in the first half of each game, making smart plays, executing fairly well, taking care of the ball, etc. But coming out of the locker room after halftime against OSU and now UM, the team has looked AWFUL.
Is it coaching? Fatigue? Some strange virus that attacks the neurological system when you try to close out a game? They don't have too much time to figure it out.

Uhhh. we looked way better in the 2nd half than in the 1st.
Honestly I put it the majority of it on Keith. He seems to want to go tit for tat with the other teams best player and forces things/makes stupid shit turnovers. There's NO excuse for a junior PG to give the ball away for a dunk in a tie game with 30seconds left. NONE!
The first time MSU basketball aired in France the French surrendered to Tom Izzo just to be safe.
Did Dawson play at all after the 10:00 mark?
Remind yourself. Nobody built like you, you design yourself.
I disagree. We let Michigan go on a decent run to start the half. Playing from behind for almost 20 minutes is a tough ask for any team. Yeah, we fought back, but starting the half with a long FG drought was a big problem.
Appling is pretty high on my shit list.
Considering who they've lost to, the losing streak isn't too concerning by itself. The concerning part is that two starters are playing very poorly. Dawson hardly played in the 2nd half, and it's a very bad sign when the coach doesn't trust his starting PG enough to put the ball in his hands at the end of the game.
We are not the same, I am a Spartan
Didn't drink MJ's secret stuff
No clue. He didn't have any real meaningful impact on the game when he did play, aside from more bad turnovers. I'd be okay with him coming off the bench in the next couple of games.
Not a lot of depth and Applimg and Dawson are no shows.
No it's not. MSU wins the next two home games and then plays on Sunday of the BTT.
Yeah, it's not the "who", it's the "how". Coming from ahead to lose three difficult but certainly winnable games.
Prepare your anus.
The downvoters can feel free to offer an argument if they think I'm wrong. I'd be happy to debate.
If Dawson doesn't figure out some way to get himself mentally in to the game and contribute in some meaningful way, I don't see any way we can go on a deep run in the tourney.
You did happen to notice how the first 6 minutes of the second half were called, right? That kinda had something to do with how we "came out" in the 2nd. Once whistles chilled, game evened back out.
Wow, I got downvoted for saying that MSU wins the final two home games.
Some of you people are fucking unbelievable.
We played very hard IMO, we just turned it over and shot horribly. I still like this team to make a run in the Tourney.
Well, you have to look at our 3 loses and how we lost. We were in all those games, games against the upper tier of the B1G. We just aren't getting shots to fall so the guys get frustrated and start forcing things. We just got to settle down and get back to doing what we do best, WINNING !!!!!!!
must win out or we are looking at a 5 seed and playing thrusday of the BTT

If it makes you feel better I just downvoted you for crying about being downvoted.
I am gravely disappointed. Again you have made me unleash my dogs of war.
This team is sweet 16 material, thats about it. But, thats about where our ranking was to start the year. Lack of leadership, PG play, and outside shooters.
Oh, I know that's the usual punishment for complaining about being downvoted.
Now, if you'd kindly upvote me for saying that MSU will win the final two games, it would be much appreciated.
We just lost by 1 on the road to a Big Ten contender in a rivalry game in which some of our top players (Appling, Dawson, Nix, and Harris) played like garbage. While Appling didn't have a stellar game, he played far better than he did last week. Dawson will be fine. Nix will be fine. Harris will be fine. All this game did was guarantee that Indiana wins the Big Ten, which is not surprising - they're the best team in the country right now. Michigan is a complete non-threat in the post season. We played awful today, and had some questionable calls, and still had a shot to win at the end.
We have Izzo and some of the best talent in the country going into the postseason. We'll win our last two, win a couple in the Big Ten Tournament, and be poised to make a run as a 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament. So step back from the ledge, and prepare for your downvote barrage once this thread is bumped post-meltdown.
I hit you with an upvote.
I hope you're right, it's just hard to see with the way some of the players are playing right now.
I agree with you. Leadership and confidence are a big issue right now.
