Hmmm, well how about all the whiners and doomsayers who are soooo distraught...
should just go out and kill themselves now... please..
the rest of the season would be much nicer without you twits around.
Oh, and do it somewhere quite and out of the way... thanks again
Nίκη για MSU
if we win the next two and a game in the BTT then we're a 2 seed.
Who gives a fuck what seed we get? Just lost early so we can end this abysmal sports year. Football and basketball have fucked us with lousy performances. End it and go into hiding this shit is taking years off my life.
To die in ann arbor is redundant
We were five point underdogs to a predicted Final Four team in their building. We were tied with 30 seconds to go and apparently lost the ball while trying to call a time out. We lost by one. Our last 3 games have been at home against #1, lost by @ 3, we played #18 on the road and lost by @2, we lost to #4 on the road by 1.
We had a tough stretch and could not get a break. Let's see how the next few games go.
I may be accused of being a sunshine blower, but it's not as if our last three opponents have been chopped liver. A close home loss to the likely Big Ten champion and #1 seed (IU), a close loss to.OSU in Cbus, and a 1-point road loss to a desperate scUM in A2. It's not as if we're losing to the likes of Nebraska, Penn State, or Purdue. (How do you think Wisky fans are feeling right now?).
Win our last two games at home, and this skid will be forgotten. Wisky was drilled at home by Purdon't and has to be reeling a little, and MSU should pound NW on senior day. I think the Spartans will be okay. They have to get angry and ornery and the home crowds need to bring the noise and support these guys.

Granted it wasn't three in a row, but you could say pretty much the exact same thing about Indiana if they had lost to MSU (on top of how they finished against Illinois and Minnesota). But alas they're the "favorite to win it all".
It's time to face facts. The team that peaks from Mar 28-Apr 8 is going to win the national title. I just don't really care about these games anymore. It's time to start playing teams on a neutral court under the pressure of the NCAA Tournament and I like this team's chances on that stage.
You're not going to win every game. We have been competitive right until the end with some of the best teams in the country these last three games (two of three on their home courts) and no, we haven't played our best. Given that, it's better than coming out and getting spanked by 15-20 points and wondering why they didn't even show up. We're putting ourselves in a position to win games and really that's all you can ask for against Top 10 competition.

MSU is not in trouble, they're just facing a tough stretch. They're not as good as the 25 pt beatdown of UM implies, but they're not as bad as a 'worrisome 3-straight loss team.' If UM can drop the awful game against PSU and then beat an impressive MSU team, however flawed they played, MSU is in a much better position.
3 at worst. Still think they could land a 2.
It's the floor slap. It needs to end.
They did it after going up 7 near the end of the first half. When it happened, I turned to my son and said, "This won't end well..."
And it didn't.
Same thing happened against Indiana.
The floor slap needs to end.
Unless they lose to Wisconsin or Northwestern at home it won't be a 4 ine NCAAs. If Butler can only drop two lines for losing four A10 games in five weeks, no way MSU drops two lines for losing to three Top 20 teams.
Only way they get a 2 IMO is if they get to the BTT finals and beat either Michigan or Indiana to get there.
Worked against OSU the first time. We've been doing it all year, haven't lost too many games...
Dude, i'm frustrated with some of these losses, but you need to get some perspective or stop watching the games.
If this basketball season is taking years off your life, I hate to think of what Kalin and Durrell's senior year did to you.
Give me the KA from that team and this team might be leading the B1G right now
Yeah that year was rough but whatever. Our players are literally not on the court and idk who is coaching our team. Is there some sort of plague?
I was just thinking that I can't recall MSU getting a 3 or 4 seed in recent memory under Izzo...I know they've been a 1,2,5,6,8/9, and 7 or 10 in 02 against NCState. Am I wrong?
I am now pretty well convinced that this team will not be making any noise in the tournament. We always get told "wait until March" when they start sucking it up. Well, it's March, and they suck. Did you mean next March?
@2 at OSU? I thought it was around 8.
Yeah close games are better than blow-outs, but there comes a point where it should be a worry that they can't close any of the close ones out
Let's see what happens in the BTT and NCAA Tourney.
There's no disputing that these last three losses were bad losses in the sense that any semblance of positive play from Appling and Dawson most likely results in 3 huge wins over quality teams and a #1 seed. Now, we're going to have to fight for a 2 or 3 and probably win out until Sunday of the BTT.
I think it's shortsighted to write off the team at this point. I'm a hell of a lot less confident about our Final Four chances than I was two weeks ago. Anything less than a Final Four and this season will be a failure, but let's let the season play out first.
I must be crazy to be in a loony bin like this.
People saying this about Dawson come across as very ignorant, IMHO. FYI, basketball is played on two ends of the court. Dawson absolutely SHUT DOWN Michigan's second best player in two games. Dawson may not have scored 20, but he saved the team at least that much in the two UM games. Most observers thought Hardaway was a mismatch advantage over Dawson, and instead Dawson locked him down.
Criticize his offense all you want, but he played a key role on D in both games. A player like Dawson is going to be inconsistent on offense because he just doesn't have a jumpshot or a handle yet. You can only score so many points on put backs and steals for dunks.
Sorry to interrupt the meltdown.
This place is awesome.
Hardaway has been brutal lately and I could be wrong but I don't think Mark_V's +\- back up what you say about Dawson.
That might be the case. I've missed a lot of games this year. I'll take you on your word I suppose.
I only care about Optiking's number crunches.
Hardaway came into the first game one of the hottest players in the country. Do you even watch basketball?
