I agree. The 7 INTs are the only thing that really stood out to me and 2 of those were right in his gut from armpunt. Facebook is blowing up with butthurt ND fans who think this is the biggest travesty ever when Te'o isn't even the best defensive player in college football. The kid from S. Carolina or UGA had more impressive years.
This. Congrats on him being second best at interceptions. Last I checked, that doesn't get you the Heisman.
Remember when Ron Powlus was supposed to win 4 Heismans? Johnny Football has more Heisman trophies in one year than Powlus had in four.

boo on this going over and me not knowing so my 30 for 30 recording is going to be off
This is like saying, "It's not Bell's fault he didn't have 3,000 yards rushing because defenses keyed in on him and stacked the box." It isn't a valid argument.

Please don't use logic and facts on tRCMB.
the nd fanatics are already pushing for golson to beat johnny football next year
I hope you're never on jury duty.
You contradict yourself by arguing that preseason/early rankings should matter but then go on to argue that the entire season should be taken into account.
Are you serious? That's the dumbest thing I think I've ever read. Yes, most balls that are caught are generally thrown your way. The key thing here is he was in position to get those INTs in the first place. He's a smart player who can diagnose a play, read a QB's eyes, and know where to be. Seven INTs for an LB is pretty freaking good, who cares HOW you got them? He only had three less INTs than our entire defense. I don't think he should have won the Heisman, but good god, is that a stupid argument.
By the way, sure would be nice if guys like Bullough and Norman could have caught more balls "thrown right at them."

Yeah.. you actually have to have some redeeming stats to win this award. Other than having seven picks, Te'o had nothing except a storied program and a good story.
Manziel put up better #s than Cam Newton in an even deeper league than what Newton faced in 2010. As dominant as Cam was, Manziel was better. One game argument does not matter with stats like that. RG3 had fallen off the map before the Oklahoma game then was the leader again. It's called having a "Heisman Moment" and it's been that way for about 40 years now..
I'm no ND lover, but anyone that takes that comparison seriously is a very uneducated football fan. How can you compare the stats between an outside linebacker that rushes the backfield damn near every play with a middle linebacker that drops back into coverage most of the time? Let's see if Teo gets trucked as many times as Jones did in that SEC Championship game.
You're comparing Apples to Oranges
Rogue Leader= Obese coward who didn't attend MSU and has no college degree
Just wait until Johnny Football finishes going through puberty. He will be unstoppable.
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
Aggies just got a verbal from a 5 star, Johnny Football scores again
Seals-Jones will be an absolute weapon in that offense. Kid is like Julio Jones. Also at A&M having 34 commits and their board saying "should be able to take 3 or 4 more by Signing Day"..
