The virus locks your computer screen and wants you to moneypak them 300. Is supposed to be easy to remove. Can anyone help? tyia
Just when we thought Nucky was gone......................
So your computer is being held hostage. You have proof of life. If you love it then send the dough.
To kill the virus, download this image:
"We'll play anyone, anyplace, anytime!" - Tom Izzo
You'll have to start in safe mode, and delete some files in the registry. I do not rember what ones so google that shit.
Good luck-- it is NOT easy to remove. Some versions do not allow you to boot in safe mode, so you made need to create a boot disc on a thumb drive. I used Hitman Pro for that, then had to run Malwarebytes a couple times. Virus would not allow Malwarebytes to run in safe mode.
I have three seperate users accounts on my computer and luckily only two are infected/affected. I think I could easily get into safe mode but I am not sure what to do from there.

Download a malware / antivirus program using one of the unaffected user accounts. My program of choice is NOD32 by Eset, but you can choose whatever you like. Go into the user account that isn't affected, run the antivirus, and the other accounts should get fixed.
EDIT - next time, make sure you have an anti-virus pgm running before surfing unknown sites for porn.

This page contains step by step instructions on how to remove Green Dot MoneyPak police virus and unlock your computer.
Does anybody know if it is just better to get a Mac? Do they get viruses? Or is it best to stick with a PC?
I recommend getting a British computer, they're vastly superior .
ty, back in business...whew!
That's a clown question bro.
Well-- I got it once by clicking on an ad on the RCMB (not kidding).
Adware or what?
