lol wut? We HAVE competed for the division title.
Don't post poop!
Yeah, I remember Purdue being absolute dog shit towards the end of Keady's era and the beginnings of Painter's. Keady did not leave anything behind.
Just the ones who who didn't think there would be any sort of a drop-off from Cousins to Maxwell
Purdue has no Hope.
True, they've abandoned all Hope
Purdue should hire Chuck Martin if he would take the job.
I didn't realize that Kevin Sumlin (TAMU coach, former coach of Houston) is a Purdue grad who played there in the early 80s. Unforutnately for Purdue they didn't fire Hope last year - Sumlin would have made a helluva hire. I doubt he would go to his alma matter now - he's got a freshman likely heisman winner, and he's making 2M as opposed to Hope who made .9M.
If I'm the Purdue AD, Sumlin is still my first call, though.
I can imagine that call being, "Hey, Kevin, you have anyone on your staff we should be looking at for maybe $1.2 mil?"

Absent some huge schedule breaks, 3rd place seems to be the ceiling for Purdue in that division.
Hey, 3rd is an improvement for Purdue. Their average finish was probably 6th before the conference was split into divisions. Moral victory.
Purdue probably can't afford to match $2M, but maybe Sumlin takes a paycut to coach his Alma Mater. If I'm PU's AD, I beg borrow and steal to get 2.1M, call up Sumlin, offer him the job, and pray to every god he takes it.
Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only Hope.

The RCMB...is one of the most awful, alarming, inappropriate, disgusting, and offensive msg boards in the history of the internet.
Not a chance in hell Sumlin leaves unless Purdue coughs up way more than $2.1 mil.
When it came to Hope, they voted for Change.

Bobby Williams to Purdue.
If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day.
He's an alum with head coaching experience. They should hire him today.
If you ignore his time as HC at MSU, he is a perfect candidate.
A New Hope
They are hopeless.
hope and change...
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...

A source close to Mark Mangino has told me that #Purdue has reached out to the former Kansas coach to solicit his interest in the job. #B1G

I've seen reports that Colorado is interested in him too. The guy had one really great year out of eight, but otherwise was mostly a mediocre coach accused of harsh treatment of players, hasn't coached big time football in three years and clearly has some health issues and is in his mid 50s. I get that Colorado and Purdue are not exactly football hot beds right now, but you'd think they might be able to find someone more exciting than that.
Results should have nothing to do with your rate of pay.
Kirk from Iowa
10% of the football budget would go to doritos and ding dongs
That would be a classless move.
Urban from Ohio (at least for now)
