It's been a bit for me, curious what the rest of you nerds say.
Haven't been in almost 6 years, I've never had a cavity or anything. Just brush your teeth.
It's been about five years for me.
That's probably going to cost you a lot of money in the long run.....
"No one cares what you know, until they know how much you care." Mark Dantonio
at least 9 years. Really thought about going once though, does that count?
Like two months ago, they told me I had some of the healthiest teeth they've ever seen.
Every 4 months like clock work...it isn't just about your teeth....healthy gums are equally important. Also, an RDH can spot any early signs of oral cancer.
I go once every two years or so and my teeth have always been fine because I take care of them at home. Going to the dentist every six months is a scam unless you don't brush/floss.
I go once a year, but I hate going because they seem to pressure you to make appointments more often. They want me in 4 times a year, which is ridiculous. I've allowed them to make the appointment, only to call a week before and then cancel. I flat out tell them I only want to come in once. My teeth are OK, no pains and I try to take care of them. For now, once a year is fine.
I've switched dentists 3 times the past 7 years because they're worse than dealing with some high pressure sales pitch from a used car salesman.
Have AARP Delta Dental plan. Go every 6 mos to a fine dental office here in the Zoo. Cleaning and have x rays once a year plus flouride treatment. Brush twice a day, etc. Also us Prevident flouride tootpaste. Everything pretty stable now.

Come on people ...I've got two going to MSU next year plus I'm building a new office... Get with the program and get your butts in the chair !!!!!
sorry for asking, but does your health plan balk at that frequency? just wondering.
I go once a year but the dentist always try to get me in twice a year.
At my last visit the hygienist said that my gums looked like orange peel (which is a good thing she said).
Coach Dantonio is my Spartan!
4 x week.
hoke- to alter or manipulate so as to give a deceptively or superficially improved quality or value.
Teeth are overrated! Also, I have never heard of someone going to the dentist more than twice a year. Anything more seems like OCD to me.
i hear you on the appointments. I tell them, "i'm only coming once a year, so don't schedule one in six months."
they still send an appointment card, ignoring my request.
they're not hard selling on this, they're just persistent I guess.
Every 6 months like all responsible adults with insurance do
Went for the first time in 5 years this past July. I brush at least twice a day and floss twice a day as well. Basically I take care of my teeth and don't drink a lot of sugary drinks.
My visit went well - dentist was impressed with the health of my teeth and had no issues.
Basically I think it comes down to how well you take care of your teeth. Brush well and often an make sure u floss. Flossing is important.
Also, I think genetics plays. Some people are predisposed to bad teeth. My cousins family (5 kids) have a history of cavities and root canals. My family (5 kids) does not really have any problems. If you have a history of issues, u should probably go more.
EA SPORTS....It's in the Game!
I've put $2,800 into my mouth the last three months.
did you do it $50 at a time, brah? now that's earning it the hard way.
Once every six months, which is a good thing because I was cursed with high maintenance teeth (no matter how much I brush and floss).
Every 6 months.
Anything less than once every six months is foul.
2 X per year.
Brush twice a day. One time with sonic brush, one time with Oral B rotating brush.,
Floss once a day unless more is needed.,
Good teeth. Good gums, No oral cancer or problems leading to heart disease.
Wouldn't know why you would go less unless you couldn't afford it.
Oh, and I am helping to put my dentist's kids through parochial school.
It used to be like that, but not anymore. Just like we don't need to get oil changes for our cars every 3000 miles, we no longer need to go to the dentist as often. Every 1 to 2 years is good.

We don't get oil changes every 3,000 miles because cars and oils have gotten better. Toothpastes are pretty much the same.
I will laugh at a lot of you guys who don't utilize your benefits, then get mad when you have gum disease or bad cavities. Because you think nothing is wrong because it doesn't hurt and have to give me a bunch of money to fix the problem, then call ME the jerk and trying to rip you off.
