He's from the south. He has no taste.
What is more American than free market capitalism? Wasn't unfair tariffs an impetus for the revolutionary movement?
Nobody really liked tea anyway. Some guys got drunk and just decided to throw it in the harbor.
The No Taxation without representation angle was just some revisionist history added later on.
Someone can drive whatever they want or whatever fits their personal needs. Just because someone lives in Michigan doesn't mean he or she has to buy and like everything associated with Michigan. I like my economic freedom personally, and that model works better than being forced to buy all American products.
So should I buy things from a big corporation instead of buying them from a small business? After all, corporations employ more people.
I live in metro Detroit and have never worked for any of the Big 3. I choose to buy from the Big 3 for a pretty simple reason - when the US Autos are doing well, its a lot more fun around this town. People are happier, spending money, house prices go back up, etc. When they aren't doing well, none of that happens. My house value went up 16% in 2012, of course it had everything to do with the fact that the Big 3 realized profits.
Also, it's nice that the corporations spend money around town as well. Ford built a football field, Chrysler puts on the art festival, GM spends money everywhere. We got a lot of nice things not just because the employees are spending their earnings, but because the companies put money back into the local economy (when things are going well).
Fuck the UAW
Perhaps he was fired from one of the US automakers and found a job in Arizona and bought a different car
They are bringing more of those jobs back. See the Fusion that was made in Mexico will now be made in Flat Rock, MI.
It might also be made in Mexico, but I know they will be making them back in the states.
There's a time and a place for everything and it's called college.
Don't you wish you could generate a BTP just once.
