What building would you rename and why?
For the purposes of this hypothetical, assume you are changing the FULL name of a building. For example, the Food Science Building is actually the Trout Food Science and Human Nutrition Building.
The Izzone89 Student Event Center.
Remind yourself. Nobody built like you, you design yourself.
F'ng fantastic fueling farm. Attached to prstoetzer stadium for your convenience
I would rename the International Center. Not that I have anything against international students or study abroad (which make their homes in this building), but the building is a central point on campus and holds a high-traffic food court as well as our official campus bookstore. The name doesn't lend itself to a building that serves as a campus hub.
I would change Munn Ice Arena to either Miller Ice Arena or Mason Ice Arena. It's always been weird to me that our hockey stadium is named after a famous football coach and not one of our hockey greats.
I would change Wells Hall to Hell's Wall for obvious reasons
I would rename the band facility Bonerville.
"As far as the downvotes. It's a gnat biting an lion"
-- A member of tRCMB Justice League, taking the internet WAY WAY too seriously.
So, rename the International Center to Mr. Pickle's Cafe?
tMel and Trevor Barnes International Center
My high school hosted the prom there
They put sheets over the cash registers to hide them. It was awful
RCMB Join Date: September 2001
ANY Hall to: Anthony Michael Hall
I would remane Akers after Ron Jeremy.
I would rename Case Hall.
Bullough Hall sounds about right.
I'd also consider changing Wonders to Magic .
laconophilia is everywhere...
I would rename Cowles House Cow House. It's easier to spell and it honors our agricultural heritage.
Change the music building to Leonard Falcone Hall.
"This was a great Spartan day." --Walter Adams
Before you ask, yes, I am a girl.
For some reason I thought it was named like the "joseph shmoseph international center" or something like that with the name being someone important/rich.
Walter Adams University.
Jim Adams Communication Building.
Brody Hall to Brazzers Hall
Location: Mumbai, India
Wellls Hall. See how long it takes for Someone to notice.
Michigan State University is the university of Michigan
It would be cool to name the entrances of Spartan Stadium after the top players/coaches in the program's history. Also, I wonder what the name of the northern stadium expansion will be? Hollis ponied up 1 million for it.
Beaumont Tower would become Bower Tower to honor my freshman year roommate who really thought that was its name.
Funny you say the Malcolm G. Trout Food Science Building as your example, because that would be the last building name I'd ever change. It's the only building on campus to ever be named after a (at the time) living person not for a donation of money. When the building was being built the Food Science students petitioned to have the building named after the long time professor and department head that had retired and the university agreed to honor him with the distinction even though it had never been done, and hasn't been done since.
But if I was going to rename a building, and I wouldn't do it yet, but when Dr. John Partridge retires I think the MSU Dairy Production Complex (MSU Dairy Plant and Dairy Store) should be named after him. He has long since been the head of the complex, and revived the plant from when it was shut down and not being used, to everything it is today. The John Partridge Dairy Complex has a nice ring to it I think.
Wow, that sounds like an awful place for prom, not that prom matters after you have graduated and realize it's silly that it seems important in high school, but mine was at the Detroit Yacht Club, and it was fucking beautiful.
Izzo and Magic did as well, I believe.
Maybe name the expansion after Hollis, and each of the two main entrances after Izzo and Magic?
Also love your idea of naming each entrance after a program great. Maybe based on the first letter in their name?
For example, Gate B would be Bullough. Gate C might be Cousins. Gate D could be Duckett.
Packaging to tStinkweed's Package Building. The vibration table must be left on 24/7 so the ladies can finally enjoy tStinkweed's package.
