Every team does it these days. There was 3 just tonight. Ill be embarrassed if that ever happens.
We did in 2007.
The only time we should storm the court again is if we're playing in a national title game scheduled for Ford Field and the roof collapses, forcing the game to be moved to East Lansing. Then we win the national title at Breslin on a 1/2 court shot as time expires.
Then we can storm. Only then.

Well that was embarrassing. Don't let it happen again.
I would say that we can do it if an undefeated #1 comes in and we hit them with a buzzer beater like Indiana did to Kentucky last year.
Unless you beat #1 or clinch a conference championship, stay off the floor
Act like you've been there.
We did in 1995 when we beat UM at the Bres for the first time in awhile.
Saw a Spartan lay out a guy in a Webber jersey right in front of a cop. Cop did nothing.

Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
I thought that too until I was in the Izzone for this. It's been the best game experience I've ever been to.
Wisconsin Badgers at Michigan State Spartans basketball 2007
MSU upsets #1, Drew Neitzel goes off. At the Breslin Center
we'll storm Michigan's court if we win in AA.
Most electric I have seen the Breslin (Izzone 06-10). What a fantastic day.
The Izzone should just wave and chant "Eat it bitch"
A court rush is justified if you beat #1, and that's it.
tRCMB - Visit at your own risk of being disgusted.
+1 Tanner should be forced to watch this over and over and over again.
Bluebloods don't storm the court.
Kids in college having fun
I rushed the court in 2010 when we beat michigan for a piece of the conference tittle. I was always told growing up games that clench the conference title are acceptable and games when an unranked team beats the top ranked team. Other than that you should never rush the court. Miami was 25 which though it is the lowest ranking they are not unranked and their rushing of the court was pretty lame.
I personally think our program has enough history that even if we were to beat the #1 team at home while we were unranked we shouldn't rush just cause were that damn good.
They've never beaten a #1, and they destroyed Duke.
Our court rushing in 2007 was embarrassing. 7 years removed from a title, 2 years from a FF, 8 straight tourneys....
We had never beaten a #1 at home before that game.
That said the game got us into the tournament and our tournament streak was very much in doubt until then.
We also "storm" (more like walk out on the court) for every clinching Big Ten Champions game.
I see where you're coming from though and it would be nice not to have to storm the court, but for god's sakes college students want to have fun.
What if it is a chick's game? Like if all of the 1200 screaming fans that just watched their women's team beat the Baylor or UConn chicks, is it ok then? They could all probably stand comfortably on the court.
+1 That gave me goosebumps. Neitzel really was a joy to watch. That same year they beat Kevin Durant and Texas.
Well all 5000 plus the mens team stormed the court when the ladies beat Jo P and Duke at the Bres to move on in the Tourney
The sad thing is we havent stormed the "field" since we beat Indiana to go to the last Rose Bowl..........and never will be able to again thanks to the lowered field because Wisky dicks trampled each other once.
Congrats to duke on beating a football school that finished the year 14-16. Duke clearly wasn't a blueblood in 2005. That's just pathetic, last second shot or not to storm the court against a football school that's 5-2 and finished 14-16. That's completely lame on dukes part. Makes 2007 completely reasonable like Neitzel threw up a full court shot or something.
