Jon Reschke posted on Twitter today: "Lol there's a big target on his head now" and "Utmost respect for Drake as a person/player. Absolutely no respect for the decision. I said no, he definitely could have also. Oh well."
U-M landed one of the biggest football recruits of its 2014 class and potentially one of biggest state of Michigan high school talents in years when Grand Rapids Christian wide receiver Drake Harris committed today.
said "no" to what?
To UM I'm guessing.
Reschke had a Michigan offer.
why do I get a Antonio Bass vibe from Drake Harris?
Sounds to me like Jon either thinks an offer from UofM is so irresistible he expects commendation for turning it down, or he's talking about some other benefit.
and is best friends with Shane Morris.
Reschke is the man.
I'd be ok with that.
I'll take what's behind door B.
According to the scUM board Reschke is "their scraps." They probably never wanted him either...

I didn't read it that way at all and I'm staggered you could.
The sentiment and perception driving logic is that a UM offer is so profoundly compelling next to an MSU offer that no one would be able to resist it.
He was able to. Therefore, he reasons anyone else should be able to as well.
I'd assume he believes that to fall under the spell of the big block M, especially as an alleged lifelong Spartan displays a weak will.
Or maybe they just paid him, who gives a shit.
"When I was in school they told me practice makes perfect. Then they told me nobody's perfect. So I stopped practicing." --Steven Wright
I hope if Reschke ever meets Harris while in a uniform, he crushes him like Clowney did to Smith.
I don't think there's every been a UM player who will be head-hunted like Harris will be. Problem for Harris is that we have a defense to do some damage to him.
Man. If you're going to be hated by our players...you definitely don't want to be on offense, and you DEFINITELY don't want to be in the open field against our back seven. That poor guy is going to get high-lowed so hard he'll need a bionic spine.
There's going to be a little extra every time he gets tackled that's for sure.
(Assuming he ends up at UM.......kid could easily end up elsewhere)
There's going to be a lot of extra flags also.

Interesting post from a guy on Hondo's board:
Now I feel comfortable with posting this. He was supposed to be at our spring game and stay with the team overnight. He told Dantonio he would be there. Drake has not kept his word to anyone and has misled many. When he committed to MSU last June the UM fans and boosters at GRCH said to me "well, I hope he qualifies, he's a poor student." The information I received previously and confirmed about an hour ago is that he is under a 2.0. So how is a great academic institution like the U in AA going to admit him? The hypocrisy down there never ends, nor does the arrogance
.........say what you want but the guy has posted about his contacts at Harris' high school for years....he definately knows people there. Meh, I expected this later on but not now. Not any kind of a shock.
scUM does not have "rasied academic standards" of any sort for the athletes...They are not Harvard or Northwestern.
That would be me...
I feel sorry for the kid. Not being facetious. I don't have any venom at all towards him because he didn't keep his word, or man up and communicate difficult news to others one on one. Nor do I for the things he said about MSU. It is quite clear that he is naive, indecisive, and lacks at least some degree of positive influence from a role-model perspective in his life. I hope that he ultimately sees the light, figures out what it is that HE wants, and is able to follow the path of his own choosing to success.
I also feel sorry for him that D Cox is going to take his head off and leave it lying on the 30 yard line at some point over the next 4 years.
And yeah, if he goes to UM, I'm not worried. /Bob Sak
Until they start dominating us on the field like they did under Lloyd/Bobby/JLS, I could give two shits about recruiting victories.

Thank you, Denicos.
thanks furnitureguy......or DCD Panther: solid post either way. Coach Fellows has been forced to cover for this kid multiple times and it's become a dog and pony show. Time will tell if he made a good decision or not.
True or not, I don't think this reflects positively on us when we post this kind of stuff. I know the dark side does it too but still. Makes me feel dirty.
Because he's committed to UM?
