I've got the self-destruct option for mine, and hearing your story makes me glad i do. Maybe your provider can send the wipe?
Regardless, I do agree with the others--It's unlikely you'll find your phone and probably just easier to replace it.

Where exactly did this take place? (just personally curious)
Was it kids?
Edit: Or kid, I guess.

Was the thief black?
It happened on 10th avenue between 52nd and 53rd. The thief was most likely a teenager, although I do not know that for certain. I didn't get a good look at him, but I can say that I saw him walking down the street before the incident and he seemed to be walking with his friend. When he snagged the phone and took off, his "friend" (or some random guy) didn't do anything (not that he should if he is totally uninvolved). However, in the aftermath, I have suspected that they were both in on it, and the friend was there to give me a pop in the jaw if I was quick enough to grab the kid before he could take off with the phone. The whole thing surprised me so much that the kid was halfway down the block before I realized what had happened. The reason I mention the potential friend is that he was definitely about 16/17 and I did get a good look at him.
wait the phone is loose? who was fucking it?
