Not because MSU and Florida both lost (dammit, I had them playing for all the marbles)
Not because umich might be in the game. (That wont sway me either way)
Not because of the teams playing, (or not playing)
Just simply because the lack of consistent, or quality officiating has made the game un-enjoyable for me. It is impossible to tell who is getting the Block/Charge call. If the same play happened 5 times in a row it would be called different every time.
I hope they get this shit fixed before next season, because I love to watch college basketball. Just tired of this crap
If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day.
We had the same finals match, brah. MSU over Florida.
I'm not watching either. College hoops is over for me until the Spartans take the floor again in October.
i only care about spartans --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqsAJQc-NCY
They need to expand the inside arc out 6 inches in radius to make calls easier for the blind refs to see
So you still would have watched if MSU or Florida were playing with this same lack of consistency regarding officials?
yep! And as much as I dont like to lose, I can deal with it. Both teams needed to hit shots and didnt. Simple as that.
But.........aw hell. I cant even get myself to go into it anymore. Just tired of the inconsistency. It is ruining the game. That and Flopping. Fricken floppers are adding to the inconsistency issues because you never know if someone was hit hard or if they are just doing well in their Drama Classes. Some of those guys get a little shove and they act like they were shot out of a cannon. Man up bitches, this is a contact sport. Much like ballroom dancing. There is going to be contact, and only the ones wearing dresses are supposed to go down.
and the damn handchecking. If a dude has a hold of another dudes shorts, while that dude is trying to get to spot, thats a foul. Keep your hand on him if you want, but if you are pulling the dudes shorts down, thats a freaking foul.
The elbows by Plumbob?? holyshit i could feel them from here. F that. If payne laid an eblow into Plumbob, that dude would have laid out across the lane, and we would have had a foul, and refs at the Instant Replay monitors.
Not the reasons we lost, but they piss me off.

MSU and Florida games are the only ones I watched. The game is being ruined. Normally I would watch every game possible. Not anymore
I will watch. Don't watch much baseball or NBA so this it until CFB.
hmmm...upon further reflection.......
I will be having my gall bladder ripped out monday morning. I imagine I will have some awesome meds and can just go into loopy land Monday night. I will choose gall bladder surgery over watching any more of this bullshit.
You gonna watch NIT champ game on Thurs?
nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnope. I may watch the Womyns Final 4. But only to see what that little orange dress turns into next.
I will not be watching it, just like every other year that MSU wasn't in it. Once MSU is out, I don't care who is playing in it - crappy officiating or not. Like many others, I used to watch all kinds of sports, but over the last five years, that has dwindled to pretty much just MSU basketball and football (after the first week or two of the college football season, when I'm so excited that football that matters is back, that is)
The weekend appears to be a Fab Five reunion/retrospective, from several media accounts. Nantz has been critical of them previously, but I am guessing he'll have new marching orders this time. I'll find something else to do, don't need to see it or listen to it.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
I'll watch because I have nothing else to do.
tRCMB - Visit at your own risk of being disgusted.
I'll watch because I enjoy college basketball and don't think the game is being ruined.
That was going to be my answer, but now I have to go to a family get together with my wife's extended family (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc). My wife's cousin is hosting the party. He's the same guy who scheduled his wedding the same day as the Michigan-Michigan State football game a few years ago (the first one they won in AA during the 4-game win streak). I flat out told my wife if MSU made the Final Four I wouldn't be going to the family party, but now I have no excuses. Hopefully I'll at least be able to take over one of the TV's in the house to keep an eye on things, but time will tell.
And if the good Lord’s willin’,
I’m a keep on chillin’,
refillin’ and flyin’ high
And this guy is still considered family?
It's a waste of time and energy to let officiated bother you that much. Focus on the game itself and let go of things you cannot control. The endless threads here bitching about officiating are as stupid as it gets. Get it over it and enjoy the game for what it is. Officiating is a necessary part of the game but these men are human, the game moves very fast and they have to make a lot of judgement calls. The charge/blocking call will always be controversial so don't let it ruin your day. For the most part, over the course of the game, missed calls even out.
It's questionable at best. It's what happens though when the guy goes to Kettering and the girl goes to Eastern and lives at home in Canton instead of truly "Going" to college.
There's no respect for MSU-UofM related things at all in their household. I've also had to turn down ridiculous tickets for Saturday's TIgers/Yankees game because of this family gathering...sometimes I wonder what I've gotten myself into
And the CBS announcers lobbying for a flagrant II.
"Hey!! Gimme one of those hats!"
EXACTLY. Im just tired of it. I guess Im in recovery mode and will try it again next season.
I'll watch because I love college basketball.
I must be crazy to be in a loony bin like this.
That sounds awful. I'm lucky in that my girlfriend and her family love sports and like to drink. So most of their family get togethers revolve around getting together to watch events I was already going to watch and getting drunk, which I was already planning on doing.
This is a Pallas’s cat. Their round pupils give them an odd human quality. They disturb me...deeply.
When MSU is done basketball season is over. I might have watched if um wasn't in it, apparently they got there this year without paying players. But the #1 reason I won't watch is because it has been ruined by f@#%ing commercials every 2 minutes. They take advantage of every timeout and foul. Hold them to their breaks after 4 minutes of play and show a couple extra commercials but I know not a damn thing will be done about it.
I may watch some of SCum-Cuse because I think that's an interesting matchup. If Cuse beats them down like they did Indiana, then I will continue watching to see crying gumps on the SCum bench and butthurt Walverines in the crowd.
UL-Witcha St doesn't interest me, and I don't see myself trying to make time for the final. College hoops is pretty much about Michigan State for me at this point in my life.
Get TIVO or a DVR. Pause game for a while, then come back to it and skip commercials.
