Alert is till 7:15. Still haven't gotten in touch with fiancee.
Deathstorms are one of the things I miss since I moved to DC. I guess we don't get them all that often out here.
No reports (yet) of any casualties. I've never seen anything like this around here.
I didn't even notice the one that was completely leveled
I'm SE AA and it's light out here
Yeah. Very close to my parents' house.
Fire near UM Stadium! Don't get too excited, everyone. It looks like it's contained.
SE Ann Arbor? Do you live in that kinda ghetto area near the Ypsi border?
How I imagined it:
Homer simpson shows us the real male way to do a BBQ.
It better be clear blue...
Thinking about changing my major so i can make blue meth....
Can't be that hard right?
This is hilarious! had to stop it at season four bc i haven't seen it yet.
Houses just north of us got pooped on. It was like hearing constant thunder rolling without a pause. All clear now and a bunch of garbage in the yard.
Dexter looks like F3, maybe F4. Unusually strong for that area.
This is the scene a block from my friend's house in Dexter:
EF2 to EF3 damage...closer to EF3. Structural design factors large in the assessments so that will play a role as well as how KDTX (Detroit WFO) handles the assessment.
GO SPARTANS (Undergrad)
GO GATORS (Grad School)
GO HOYAS (Law School)
There was another house that was leveled to the foundation, no interior walls standing.
I have a friend who lives in Dexter and this is what he encountered on his way home from work
I had no idea the cast of Jersey Shore was in Michigan this week.
Yikes. Scary stuff. Hope everyone made it out alright.
It all formed just to the east of Lansing. Didn't see a drop of rain here in EL.

I was stuck at U of M Hospital for 90 minutes after my appointment. It was crazy dark outside.
Based on the images I have seen it is EF3 Damage but the quality of the home structures in MI is what then comes into account. I have seen many a tornado I thought was higher get lowered due to the type of building material used. I will be one of the first to get the damage assessments tomorrow from KDTX since I work for NWS and am on the email list for Severe Events. I will post what they say as soon as I receive it.
