And his overthrows and lack of touch and generally sucking at the worst possible moment.

You guys are sure reading a lot into a comment in print. The notion that Maxwell doesn't care about winning is absurd. You guys can go back to bashing Andrew now.
You are unintentionally right here. The football program IS on "parody" right now.
But the basketball and football programs are not on "parity."
I just want Maxwell to get in people's faces and tell them if they don't hold on to the ball, then don't come back to the huddle. This team needs a little old school, Sammy Baugh love.
Its five o'clock somewhere.
Or some Billy Martin - Reggie Jackson love.
I don't think he can do that because he would have to make himself accountable for his bad play.
I don't think he's proven that he can be accountable for his failures. The fact that he can rest easy with a 5-7 record speaks to this point.
I was there.
We are getting some polarizing regarding Maxwell's comments, I will give you that.
Maxwell's comments indicate that he's not overly concerned about winning or losing. He sleeps well at night. He's content just playing football - even that is a success.
Oh, I'm sure he wants to win. But losing doesn't seem to bug him very much either.
WTH? This is MSU's QB?
wait til next year....whole different person
That's not what he said. He said that as long as he and the team have given their all then he's satisfied. He didn't say he's OK with losing. You are blowing this way out of proportion.
Let's look at this scenario: At work you are doing your very best to get an order. You do everything you can and your company supports you yet some other company gets the order. Are you pissed? Yes. Are you dissatisfied with your effort? No. That's what Maxwell is saying.
I bet that Bomb dropped by Burbridge bugged him.
Eventually you get fired for not producing. Winners don't accept losing. I never accept losing. I hate it. It keeps me up at night. That's why I win often.
Keeping the sunshiners in check since 2000.
Same results too. I've seen 0 progress in his ability from Boise to Minnesota. The offense remains stagnant with him at qb. But he sleeps well at night.
We need another qb and oc. Period.
Agree with this. Maxwell did NOT impress yesterday. That pick-6 was ugly. Hard to believe he's even less mobile than Cousins. He's fortunate the MSU defense and Bell bailed him out.
Doesn't help that a Georgia team that MSU beat last year, will be playing in the SEC title game with a chance to compete for a National Championship.
Compare that to a MSU program that must beat Minnesota for Bowl eligibility.
Heck, that's a subject for another thread.
Two years ago I would have predicted that 2013 was shaping up to be potentially one of the best in Spartan football history. Now, with the possible loss of Bell, with a quaterback who made no apparent progress over the course of the year and receivers who progressed from bad to mediocre we enter next year with the offense being a bigger question mark than it was entering this season. On the positive side the defense could even be better and Maxwell would not be the first quaterback who made a big jump his second year as a starter.
hmm, took the weekend off and this got bumped. Well at least I got to sleep well.
That throw into triple coverage to Pendleton was the worst throw I've ever seen. After that I was convinced that we need a new QB.
Not to mention he made a read on the coverage and audibled to that, get a fucking clue... or just go to bed and sleep tight in your jammy-jams
