Yup, just a one time deal. Don't let facts get in your way.

Couldn't agree more, bench his ass and give Waynes or Colquhoun a chance to make plays. J5 thinks that since he accomplished a lot the past two seasons it means something this year, and this kind of mentality is why he has given up big plays, been out of position, and tackled terribly.
With his play this year, he's probably gone from a 2nd or 3rd rounder to a 6th at best. Dude needs to focus and start playing like we all know he's capable of. I know we put him on an island and make it tough on him, but all I've seen from him this year is major regression. I could be OK if he gave up the occassional big play if he made a few big plays of his own, but I can't think of 1 game changing play he's made all year.
It's pretty telling that opposing OCs are staying completely away from Dennard and attacking J5. It's very clear who they respect more. Time for J5 to step it up and prove them wrong.
Oh, and if we're going to start with accountability...
Taiwan Jones is COMPLETELY outplaying Norman. It isn't even close. I love Norman and all the work he's done for the program, but Jones is just flat out better. He needs to see the field a lot more (see second half yesterday).
Had somebody said this to me preseason I would have laughed at them, boy do times change.
"We'll play anyone, anyplace, anytime!" - Tom Izzo
The worst part about JA5 is that we know how good he can be. Last year outside maybe a few plays all year (most against Minnesota) he was absolutely lockdown. To the point where every team picked on Dennard over and over. Even BSU did the same because of JA5's tape from 2011.
So far he looks like he's always been caught sleeping. The TD against OSU, he didn't do shit to impede the WR. Against IU he got burned by a freaking TE. His draft stock has plummeted, and if he wants to play in the NFL he better get his shit together.
NFL eyes = NBA eyes and is detrimental regardless of the player or sport. THAT's the common thread between the two players (and I said nothing about smack talk being done by either player).
Your anger is as amazing as your tough guy persona.
I read the news today, oh boy .. ..
About a lucky man who made the grade
Ever think he has MORE responsibilities and isn't adapting to that?
A portion of the RCMB MSU "fan base" always so ready to crucify their own.
Your stupidity and ignorance is almost as amazing as your racism
I think what you don't understand is that in this defense he is left alone on a island.
OSU still got just 17-points all day, and Indiana had 37-yards in the second half.
And, the shelf life of a guy who actually makes the roster and actively plays is 3 1/2 years on average. What do you do after that with no college degree? At least you can get that sheepskin if you stay for 4.
Don't get me wrong, I love Baker, but by leaving, he settled for a life/financial band-aid rather than a shot at a long-term cure, you know, metaphorically speaking.
Agreed. Baker was drafted and is in the League. Had he stayed, he would be sitting behind Bell on the depth chart and with this OL, he would have a horrible season. He made the right choice.
"People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care." - Mark Dantonio.
He usually has a safety behind him. Against IU he was not the only guy getting beat. There is plenty of blame to go around. Our D (including Adams) shut them out in the second half. The bottom line is that when you are one on one w/ a guy you are going to get beat once in a while. Since IU passes every play, they had to win the one on one matchups to move the ball. JA5 got beat but it is going to happen to every DB.

Completely agree with this and other similar sentiments. Dantonio isn't tough enough on his players, and quite frankly he never has been. Except for the weird wild hair in the ass situations like with Chris Norman. J5 has been torched all season long (ALL SEASON LONG) but hasn't had to sit, yet Norman has a bad game and is yanked? And why the fuck did it take this long to figure out Burbridge is better than Bennie? Zero fucking accountability.
Punisher and Vegas, you dudes have some serious issues. Why don't you take your little pissing match to private messages so the rest of us don't have to wade through it? Thanks.
You are an embarrassment. Your infantile name calling and tantrum throwing clogs up each thread you post in and casts us all in a bad light. You are a grown man and post on this board with the emotional maturity of an 11 year old. Perhaps you should take a step back and evaluate what you are trying to do here. You sadden me and add no value. Shut the fuck up.
It's 95% punisher. Anyone who disagrees with him is immediately personally attacked. In all of these pissy slap fights, he is the common denominator. He has beefs with like 20 different posters. It is pathetic and sad.
MD agrees with you, considering his post-game comment about this very subject.
Who is Taiwan?
Don't you mean Twan Jones?
Rogue Leader= Obese coward who didn't attend MSU and has no college degree
Agreed. Bench him to start the Iowa game, see if he reacts in a positive way to not playing. Dude has been turrable.
Idk who you guys are talking about, the only LB with the last name "Jones" on the roster I can see is Chinese Taipei Jones.
hey it worked out with burbridge and chinese taipei jones. i think trae waynes or colquhoun have earned their opportunity to show what they can do. adams has no excuses with how drummond has finally been playing
Drummond is a safety, JA5 is a corner.
The #3 corner in the eyes of the staff is Mitchell White. Wish we'd give Waynes more looks. He'll be replacing JA5 most likely in 2012.
The Spartan "D" is most effective with front line pressure. That has been non existent this year so Johnny gets burned frequently. You give most FBS QB's time and the wr will find a way to get open.
Johnny plays a tight "on the line" cb which also increases the frequency of "beats' with little pocket pressure. If he plays off 5-7 yards everyone will complain about the "prevent' defense scheme.
Bottom line: Get to the QB and don't give him time. Johnny will be able to cover.
