We've got depth. We've got numbers.
Glad we didn't do that with the WRs....
Should we bench BigWill since he isn't producing? I'm sure benching him will turn his play around.
What about the rest of the DLine? Nobody is getting much pressure on the qb.

ARW deserves to be benched he hasn't done anything all year. When will Hoover be back from his injury?
Burbridge dropped a slant on third down
HE MUST BE BENCHED
Of course he should demand excellence!!!

No, it didn't "work out for" Jones. He has always been a good player and got put in because he excels at stopping what Indiana was doing. Newsflash: MSU has one of the best linebacker corp in the country. That includes the backups.
Burbridge is late to the party. Got to campus late and promptly was injured. And lets actually see him against someone better than the Big Ten's worst defense before declaring he has arrived. Hopefully he's awesomesauce from here on out, but lets not pretend Dantonio had him chained to a radiator somewhere and finally relented to the RCMB experts.

Now THIS is funny. I don't even have to check the username anymore........1. read thread 2. find hate filled attack by a hack who doubles as an asshole 3. assume its punisher, the mentally ill child on the site
His stock would have really improved with this O-Line
Went through each page and counted and this thread has managed to bench nine of 22 starters

From the beginning of the year, we have benched:
every WR who is on the roster
Am I missing anyone?
Played a lot, been around a lot of players. Got a chance to play and know some world class ones.
And that has what to do with the points I raised? Did you ever play DB? Do you know the stat?
Adams had 1 bad bust, and got beat on some good throws where the coverage was tight. I have full faith in his ability, and believe he will make more big plays for this team this year.
probably easier to list the ones who haven't been...
...I think that's about it
get the new Nike MSU font: http://tinyurl.com/spartansfont
Yeah it's easier to do it that way.

Are you just referencing this past game? Hope so. And he was beaten severely twice. And let me know how many all american teams the IU receivers will be on. I 'll hang up and listen.
Who you got to replace him?
People get so caught up in the game, they forget these are college kids, not pros.
That said, we've all seen the potential. The IU game is an example- something changed from the first to the second half, and effort is a big part of it. Why isn't that apparent all game long?
If we can trick Coach Krzyzewski into saying his own name backwards, perhaps he will be pushed back to the fifth dimension
This. Miles white is not better than Adams.
I laugh when people think this defense should never be scored on.
this defense has been solid all year. Yes Adams has given up some big plays but so does any corner over during the course of a season.
Maxwell and the offense had three 3 and outs to start the game which was murder for MSUs defense and the style of offense Indiana plays.
MSUs defense a nationally ranked defense and the best in the big ten. Indiana scored with smoke and mirrors and a gimmicky offense in the first half. MSU came out unprepared which is curious the biggest red flag in my mind.
They totally shut down Indiana in the second half and they made adjustments which did not include benching Adams.

Because we put him on an island VERY often, and many many times he is the reason for check downs to incompletions, or sacks, or he makes a play, it becomes glaring to casual observers when he gets beat on that island. I haven't watched the ND game again because it's too painful. But I think Adams was supposed to have deep help on that TD, but dont hold me to that.
Thing is, if you really watch the game, the kid makes a ton of plays. Helps the team 98% of the time, and allows Narduzzi to use him as lock down corner on that island. I
Wish he wouldn't talk that much, but the kid can play. With our receivers we can bitch about sticking in new guys because if the new guys drop a pass it might end a drive but that's it. Put in a corner that isn't as good and you have major problems and also change things we do on defense.
If you think Johnny Adams is not a good corner, you've missed some college football scores and what offenses are doing to other corners lately.
These knee jerk reactions about pulling starters frustrate me, but they will always be on this board. They have a view of football like my wife. " why don't they just tackle that guy with the ball?". I dont like watching games with her but I give her a brake. At least she wouldn't put her stupidity on a board.

Adams and Lewis were my fav players heading into the season, but their lack of on the field discipline is becoming a problem. From what we have seen from Drummond and Williamson we know sittiing Lewis a few plays could be done without concern, but there is a major drop off of experience when sitting Adams. It's a tough call, but their is defnitley some lleadership missing from the secondary.
Our defense statistically is one of the best in the nation. We've also faced 3 ranked teams in 6 games (2 in the top ten), and an unranked team that was #1 in the b10 in passing. Yet people still bitch. Talk about spoiled and uneducated...

The first half was an abortion but this defense is still ranked #8 in country.
People who are blaming Adams and the Dennard for these MSU losses are clueless IMO.
Heaven forbid the offense actually has to score more than 20 points to win a game.
MSU gave up 20 points or less to both ND and OSU. That should be good enough to at least split those games.

Did I call out the whole D? No. I said two of our most talented players are not playing with enough discipline. I know we are leaving J5 on an island for most of the season, but he is getting beat almost every game and he shouldn't be. I am not calling to sit either player for the rest of the year. I just think they need to focus more on making the right play rather than the big play and maybe sitting a series could help motivate them to do that. I don't put any losses on them I just think they havn't improved the way any of us were hoping and it is not an issue of talent.
I see the difference this year being making big plays (other than Bell).
Fowler finally had one.
Key examples would be Lewis - he had an interception in his hands to ice that game - he drops it. Last year we make those - if we are to finish strong plays like that have to be made. The guys are in the right positions which signals good coaching - but they aren't making the stops or catches.
