I wouldn't object to it as much if it didn't seem like everyone was just copying the Red Sox.
(EDIT: I thought you meant sensitive about hating it. I definitely hate it...)

Don't ever play "Lady of Spain" again.

You shut your damn mouth
That same thing can be said for most of the songs played at sporting events.
DON'T STOP BELIEVING BEING PLAYED AT EVERY LIONS/TIGERS/RED WINGS/PISTONS/MICHIGAN GAME. Just stop it with shouting SOUTH DETROIT. Just because they say detroit in the song doesn't make it appropriate for a sporting event.
On a lighter note, Centerfield by John Fogerty is the best sports song.
No, what makes it appropriate is when your team is losing. You know, don't stop believin' that they'll win the game. Probably not necessary when a victory is obvious.
Ok this is THE answer. Lock the thread.
I love every single song CCR ever put out. But this John Fogerty solo effort is a garbage sandwich.
Yeah we're going to have to agree to disagree. The song Centerfield and it's little clapping makes me cringe I want to punch babies when I hear it at tCoPa. "Don't Stop Believing" is popular in Detroit because Steve Perry wrote the lyrics from his hotel in downtown Detroit. It makes sense to play it in Detroit but at the Breslin, not so much.
the r u ready for this song

I'm jewish and it offends me that it leads into "charge!"
Not enough upvotes in the world for this.
It's not that; a song can be whatever age at a sporting event. The 300 stuff is a pop culture thing. One that many current college students probably didn't connect to until well after it hit, if at all.
Bump for Wings game
I think you're analyzing it way too much.
You, sir, need to take a long-ass walk down a short-ass pier.
Smack My Bitch Up
I'm not sure I have ever heard this song at a sporting event.
The Curly Shuffle and stupid shit on the scoreboard needs to go. When it comes on, I turn away.
