I don't hate bacon, but I have never chosen it on anything. I won't get it on burger, I don't get it with breakfast (over sausage), and I hate it on Pizza (overpowers the flavor). It has its purpose, but as someone else said earlier, the lame cooking show/internet obsession with bacon is totally overblown.
Damn you! My family accepts me for who I am. I think. I haven't told my dad yet, or my 5 year old, who loves bacon of all things.
I like this one soooooo much better too bad it's banned.
I will pass on bacon every day if it is crunchy. Chewy bacon is the ONLY way.
The indoctrinated will no longer be able to deny it, only defend it.
No one wants to admit it, but sausage > bacon, and that's just math.
I don't hate you, OP, but I don't understand either. You're on your own, friend.
No one wants to admit it because it's wrong. Also, you can't really compare "sausage" to bacon. There are hundreds of different kinds of sausages.

With this kind of support/lack of support I'll be just fine.
There goes your chances with Minnie...
Spartans ...committed to bring Paul Bunyan home in 2013.
When I finally make it to a tailgate this fall, I expect nothing less than a fist to the face from Minnie. Can't we all just get along?
Why? He enjoys bacon but has already made it known he only eats it a couple times a year.
"Stats are for Losers." - Pat "Nardawg" Narduzzi
I like bacon on things, but not a big fan of it on its own
That's because people don't like to lie.
Bacon >>> sausage.
Waiting for the wrath of Minnie to present itself in this thread. Clearly, she will find it unacceptable.
I love bacon, but I get a kick out of how bacon is the "cool" food for liberals. You'll hear people say things like, "I am a vegetarian, except for bacon".
I'm not going to lie, it takes some of the fun away, even though the Yuppie market down the street from me has the best bacon I've ever had.
Amen, brother! And I will fight anyone on this topic until the day I die!
SOFT BACON FTW!
The only way to make sausage greater than bacon is if you eat it WITH bacon.
I dont hate bacon, but I definitely do not crave it.
I'll eat it if it is on a club sammich or something like that, but we dont ever keep bacon in the house.

Are they smart enough to know that they're delicious?

The swine is divine.
Not a chance in hell!
Bacon just needs to be kept in moderation. Tremendous addition to a sandwich and a perfect side with eggs.
I like it OK on pizza. Would prefer it without to be honest though.
Bacon much better than sausage overall though
Just like my views on religion, I respect everyone's right to their beliefs about bacon. I am a lover not a fighter, so I would never punch you.
Plus, more bacon for me!!!!
I really like bacon. Particularly BLT's. It's awesome. But count me among those who are tired of the bacon obsession. See also: zombies.
Years ago I had the opportunity to work at a pig farm for a couple of weeks, it was truly an eye opening experience.
Based on that experience; pigs are indeed filthy animals. Intelligence? Suffice it to say I did not see any thing that made think that. If anything, the opposite is true.
The worse part is that pigs have a very distinct smell (not a pleasant one) that I can literally taste when eating pork to this day. Bacon is the one exception, I can’t taste it when eating bacon.
