Start a thread with "Tanfan" in the subject, then watch how quickly it balloons to 4, 5, 6 pages.
Anyone who doesnt think tanfan drives traffic to the site is crazy. It's like saying that the Yankees or Notre Dame don't bring in big TV viewership numbers.
Those 4,5,6 pages are full of the same people that would be here anyway. No new users are coming here because of tanfan. That's like saying that Grimace drives people to go buy burgers. It's not new traffic. It's just posts from people sick of tanfan.
Good point. Shticks = traffic.
It's still additional page views each time the same person posts or refreshes the page.
Just curious...how much revenue do you think Tanfan generates?
You can let Tanfan argue his own case. He doesn't need help.
Google Card Sound Golf Course.
....worth of of play money
IMPORTANT NOTE: (not specific to Tanfan)
Driving traffic to a site just means that there is a shit ton of hits on the thread. It does not state how many people are involved in the traffic.
Site drama drives actual PEOPLE away. The traffic stay high because the people that remain are involved in the drama, and are bumping threads, and posting more BS in the same thread. Instead of adding quality users, we are driving traffic.
Increased traffic matters, but actual new and ACTIVE members would make the board better. And by ACTIVE I mean, here to talk sports and not be an attention ho.
Disclaimer: I like tanfan. Not bashing him here. He is a good dude, but I dont necessarily agree with his point of view (or his posting style) all the time.

If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day.
When tanfan kicks the bucket, are people allowed to troll his "RIP TANFAN" thread?
I'm sure it is what he would have wanted...
