It is how Crean operates. Pulled the same garbage at Marquette, cut guys that don't develop.
Do you have examples of this? I don't really remember him doing this and being from Wisconsin originally, I followed his career at Marquette pretty closely

So, according to that thread it sounds IU had NO interest in GH anyway. I quote "someone would of literally had to been kicked out to take on gary." If that's true, then what do they care?
You're in college. The window of opportunity to drink and do drugs and take advantage of young girls is getting smaller by the day.
Probably already been said but, good for a couple reasons.
1. Additional motivation for Harris.
2. Maybe sway Indiana recruits away from IU.
I must be crazy to be in a loony bin like this.
Dude, it's booing at a basketball game. You guys are all looking way too far into this. It happens literally every game.
This. Can we change our motto from "Demand Excellence" to "Demand Respectful Behavior from Opposing Fan Bases"? Sure, DRBfOFB is a bit more of a pain to type out than DE, but it's a change worth making.
Nah, this example goes deeper. Booing an in state recruit because he went out of state is different than just booing the other team. It's more personal.
they were just as butt hurt when Zac came here. I was Indy that summer and its all anyone wanted to bitch about as soon as they found out I was a MSU student
Because MSU fans NEVER boo opposing players right?
Oh no, that is a lie. They wanted Harris bad. This 2012 class of recruits for IU are called The Movement. I do not know who gave them that name, I am thinking the fans did. Even now when they speak about their 2012 class they say if Harris would have committed, he would have been the best player in the class. I am guessing the movement means a move back to respectability for IU.
It just doesn't seem right and I don't know what to do about it, Bob. I hear they're even planning to distract our free throw shooters by making a lot of noise and waving colorful objects around behind the basket.
I dont see Gary as one of those players that needs something to go out there and play hard.
I don't think anyone is saying he wouldn't play hard without the booing, but it's just fuel to the fire.
Harris is a cool hombre. If anyone thinks he will be rattled by IU fans booing, they don't know Harris very well.
If you can do a half-assed job of anything, you're a one-eyed man in a kingdom of the blind.

Shocking! MSU fans would never boo anybody! Or say anything unkind!
Sports fans are sports fans. They're the same everywhere.
Where on earth is this sentiment coming from? Did I miss us booing Mark Ingram during the Capital One Bowl?
Then we shall fight in the shade!

Wow you are officially obsessed with MSU fans obsession with other schools.
Welcome to 8 years ago.
"The RCMB on 247 is one of the most awful, alarming, inappropriate, disgusting, and offensive msg boards in the history of the internet."
I think they are really saying "Boo-urns"
Gary and his family are ready for IU's hostility.
Good for them. You buy a ticket... You can yell, scream, and/or boo!
Remember when Dugan Fife told a bunch of reporters how he was going to beat MSU at the Breslin, and then the Izzone boo'ed unmercifully every time he touched the ball? I laughed most of that game, especially after Dugan tossed up a few air balls and walked away with one or two points.
Another example that I can remember was a women's hoops game at Breslin when we were playing UM. Some girl on the UM team walked over to the Izzone and started taunting them. They boo'ed her like crazy every time she touched the ball. She performed so poorly that the coach pulled her and she was crying on the bench.
Of course, sometimes this stuff can go the other way, like UM fans mocking Respert at Crisler. Then he went off for 30 points in the second half. Hopefully Gary will react in a similar manner.
Bob in a sports thread. How utterly repetitive.
