So Bill Walton is calling this Arizona @ Washington game AND one of Shawn Kemp's kids is playing.
this is awesome.
Thank you for bumping this thread I was sort of looking for it after hearing him on ESPN.
That's one of 12 or something right? I loved the rainman. Total OG. I hope SKJR throws down some sick dunks like pops. Walton just makes me LOL as a commentator.
Shawn Kemp has enough kids to fill both rosters.
tRCMB - Visit at your own risk of being disgusted.
Walton just killing UCLA for losing to USC. I love this man.
That's not fair that Kemps kids have to hear chants like daddys doesn't love you, and condom broke. I just read an article that said shawn Kemp had bananas thrown at him while he was playing and he just took a bite out of one and tossed it aside.
LOL Bill Walton "will UCLA win another game" "come one they lost on Reggie miller night" " back to back to USC and Arizona" he's still going on about it. Dudes definitely baked.
"Washington needs to practice the 5 on 0 fast break drill" What a long strange trip it has been Bill, your the man!
We love you brah.
How can you not like Bill Walton. Either your a pussy A. B. A Virgin or C. Have never toked a day in your life.
Huh? Never said I didn't like him. In fact he's the only reason I watch Pac 10 games.
Loved his comments about the high pick and roll by a center . "If the little guy can't get by his defender, then get rid of the ball , screen away or cut, but I don't understand why they bring the 7 footer 30 feet away from the basket to screen".
Classic Walton......in a good way.
"What is it, Coopernick?"
tRCMB - Where MSU fans eat their own.
Howling as they went into the break (after a mention of Warren Zevon)
B Dub always brings it strong
"Those fans are in for a world of hurt...they've never gone up against a premium message board fan base like ours."-Vim
i'm watching this on delay because Bill Walton is just that entertaining.
"You weren't here on May 21st, 1974? Oh my gosh. A Me and My Uncle open...Brown Eyed Woman...Goodness gracious. And then a Row Jimmy. Ohh. Goodness gracious."
Wave That Flag, Bill. Wave that flag.
"one of the worst possessions in the history of Husky basketball."
"The basketball crazed northwest! They have starbucks, amazon, microsoft! What a great area!"

"UCLA, basketball, and the Grateful Dead — it all rolls into one. Teamwork, creativity, imagination, electricity, fundamentals, physical fitness, speed and quickness, the fast-break, dexterity, flexibility, footwork, crazy fingers, communication, discipline, the beat, rhythm and pace, offense, sacrifice, structured freelance, soaring through time and space, a dream, vision, and a plan. Never had such a good time." - Bill Walton
The new "Dave's Picks" release from the Grateful Dead comes out tomorrow. It's from 11/17/73 at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion and Bill Walton wrote the liner notes. I'm looking forward to hearing it.
That's a pretty solid quote.
I have a copy of that Pauley Pavilion show from archive.org on my iPod. Great show.
I wonder if Walton went to 6/16/74 in Des Moines. It had been a couple years since I listened to that one and I put it on while out with the dogs tonight. Amazing show.
"Thank you Seattle for giving us this great day in our life."
People have thought that for decades.
Heh, I guess "wondering where he is" is a good start.
My favorite Bill Walton quote. " The continual deterioration of officiating in the NBA is...an American tragedy."
Must've been early in his career. Older Shawn Kemp would never toss food to the side like that.
Watching Arizona v Stanford. Wavy Gravy, I mean Walton, just said that "the cats are climbing the mountain, howling in the desert moonlight and there is nothing the cardinal can do about it!" Stanford was up 30-29.
