Sheehay's head did not move "after the contact." Not even a question. Crean looking more and more like a chump after instructing his players to do this during the time out. Tape don't lie.
Not only should Zeller, Sheehay and Crean be added to Forde's "CHUMPS of the Week" list but Forde should add himself to the list for sticking up for Zeller even after Vitale apologized.
If you can do a half-assed job of anything, you're a one-eyed man in a kingdom of the blind.
- Kurt Vonnegut
I gotta think so. I guess you never know though.
Crean is a solid coach. Give him his due.
is there video of this?
It would be really nice if they started giving out techs for delay of game or flopping to end this stupid shit.
So you support faking injuries and scripted ball punches ?
I used to like Crean but after his antics on the sideline and clearly instructing his player to fake an elbow to the face I'm not a fan of his.
It's good to see that another fan base is coming to realize what a loser Crean is. Note that he didn't show up to the post-game press conference for more than an hour last night. That happens every time Indiana loses. When they lost to Wisconsin he didn't show up at all.
"Earlier I said [Madison's] the greatest college town on Earth... It's a universally accepted fact." Scott Van Pelt, 2/25/2014
Oh my god some people on here throw a fit about everything. To suggest Crean is a "dirty coach" because of those 2 flops is suggesting that every coach, including izzo, is a dirty coach. Every coach teaches kids to embellish or flop in situations like that. Every team flops a couple time la at least every game. Stop with this high horse garbage. Yes, these two times happened to be caught on TV, but this happens every game and every team does it.
Exactly. Bush league at its best. And yes, they need to start handing out T's for that crap or the game's going to get out of hand fast.
Or Zeller is going to get punched in the face for being such a little bitch. I don't think anyone would mind seeing that.
The RCMB...is one of the most awful, alarming, inappropriate, disgusting, and offensive msg boards in the history of the internet.
We can only hope that someone flops on Indiana in a similar situation, gets the call from the refs, and IU loses from it.
You obviously were never part of the early years in Cobra Kai. Pre Karate Kid......
The coach can teach this crap. I watch Crean and his antics from about 35 feet away when they were here. I was disgusted by him and the way he acted. I was a huge supporter and fan of his until they player here last week... The sideline antics, TO bs and the way he stomps around. He takes Tom Izzo, puts him on steroids and then pops about 8 days worth of meth. Tom should feel disgusted by the way Crean is acting...
I swear Harbaugh's (brother in laws as you know) success has gone to Crean's head... He's acting like a spoiled little baby
For anyone who hasn't seen it yet:
Look at Cody's right hand and it's obvious that he pulled Nix' hand into him (how else would his hand, on the opposite side of Nix' arm, move with Nix' arm without delay or separation?). Plus he reacts simultaneously (there is a slight delay if you really get hit, unless you see it coming) and Nix would have reacted differently if he was trying to get away with something. And this is on top of Zeller elbowing Nix earlier -- although I can't say if it was intentional or not based on the replays I've seen. It's one thing for your temper to get the best of you, but to premeditate an action and try to make another player look dirty is much worse in my opinion -- although I guess you can argue that his temper could have gotten the best of him in the moment...
I'm also amazed that none of the commentators could see it. I guess when you're a commentator you see something (easy to miss the first time) and then focus on the story or commentary rather than trying to see what really happened.

A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in.
Thanks for posting that. I don't think anyone here had seen it yet.
Here's the play from last night's Minnesota game where Crean is shown telling Sheahy to fake taking an elbow to the head (13 second mark)....moments later he does just that...

Did you see Home Depot tackle the guy he was guarding?
