I haven't watched enough of their games, but they seem to be coasting through the SEC. Will this team make a run or will they fold once they hit some competition? I really don't know, and from casually paying attention I think they will do well.
I've been there, so yes.
Florida is very good, but SEC basketball is Big Ten Football. Kentucky isn't all that good this year so I can't take that conference seriously just like Big Ten football.
SEC? ... No
Yup. Best team I've seen this season.
Big, balanced, deep, experienced. Genuine threat to win it all.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
Maybe Georgia was effing with you.

It's tough to tell. Their toughest game so far was a loss @Arizona. They're taking care of business in the SEC, which doesn't say much, but they seem like a team that could beat anyone in the country, but really aren't terribly battle tested yet.

This is how I view them, and once March comes and they are tested, will they step up, or be surprised that a team is fighting back?
I'd just hate to see Donovan make it again.
That Zona game was BS, they looked far superior to Zona, but screwed up at the end and the refs didn't help none. Florida is the real deal.
After watching 2/3s of the season my Final Four would have Florida and Indiana. The other 2 would come from the pool of MSU, OSU, Dook, Miami, Louisville, Kansas and scUM.
I didn't see the Florida / Zona game, I was just commenting on what their strength of schedule looks like so far.
It was a good game, it happened early though and my memory about that game is fuzzy. It was a close game though.
Dear god no. Come on now, sec basketball? They live and die by their guard play. Overrated as usual
Florida is really good IMO. Great guard play and stud big man in Young. They obviously won't be tested in conference play but they have a championship level team.
A good team with Elite 8 experience, and they'll likely be a one or two seed if they don't get upset in the $EC tourney. Still, not playing anyone good this calendar year is bound to haunt them.

Young isn't a stud big man. He should be because he's uber talented but he really struggles against anyone halfway decent. In 27mpg this year without a single game against a player above average he's averaging 11pts and 6rebs. Payne on the other hand is putting up 9.6 and 7 in 22 mpg and I wouldn't consider him a stud. He's a good big man but not a stud. Stud big men average 18 and 10 not 11 and 6.
Um, no. The SEC is awful, but Florida is very talented and well-coached. You put the Gators in the Big Ten and they're right there with the IU, UM and MSU group, although maybe just a step below.
I heard from an insider that they were firing their offensives coordinator tomorrow. He could not win on a bye week in the SEC, so he gone.
I live in Gainesville and have seen them live one time, and on tv a bunch. They are a really good team, a little thin depth wise, but they have experienced guys to cover for that. A great three point shooting team, with some bangers inside. They will be a 1 seed and won't lose another regular season game.
They also beat inferior teams in a manner I wish the Spartans did, they don't let off the pedal.

Florida is a very, very good team. Had the chance to watch them in person this weekend in Gainesville. I think they look better than they are based on the level of competition in SEC hoops but this team is a) freakishly athletic and b) full of kids who can shoot. Wilbekin is great defensively as well.
UF has the kind of talent to be a final four team. Like IU and UM, I think they lean on the 3-ball a bit too much and that may doom them in the tourney. However, when they are shooting well they can beat anyone in the country.
Bump. My drunken post above may not have been so far off
Not against Arkansas tonight trailing 46-68 with about 7:30 left
