A buddy and I were discussing this today. I say Final Four because you have to be one of the four best teams in the nation whereas you just have to win the B1G to get to a RB. Wisconsin has gone to the last three RBs and I don't think they were one of the 4 best teams nationally any of those years. What do you think?
well for us it's clearly the Rose Bowl lol. Definitely harder to get to a FF though...
I think it's the Final Four, but you don't have to be one of the four best teams in the country to get there. You just have to be one of 68 teams chosen for the tournament and then be better than four teams in four games.
Depends if you're in Wisconsin or not.
FF. all you have to do is win the Big10...Ask Wisconsin how easy it was for them. If the big10 is down its hella easy. Making a FF you are playing against several conferences with different game-plans that you get 2 days to practice against. We all know how Big10 football teams play - Iowa is not changing it's scheme for example. Basketball is much tough to prepare for
Yeah, my buddy was arguing that there's no way a VCU or Butler football team could get to a RB even if they were in the B1G.
I asked a Duke fan this same question and he said Rose Bowl.
Every year, at least until recently, a B1G team was guaranteed a trip to the RB. Not so with the FF.
We go to both
Is your friend an idiot?
If Final Four means round of 32, then yeah.
Hopefully you replied with "Wut" and ended the conversation.
"If you're worried about Wolverine fans, just move to Pasadena. You'll never have to deal with 'em."
Huh? Being a spartan, you should remember 2000.
Theres also no way Kentucky's football team wins a championship? I dont even know what that's supposed to show.
...and we win national titles in both
"love unconditionally". Princess Lacey
I'd say Final Four.
A different question. Which is harder to achieve: a basketball National Title vs. a football National Title? I think I'd lean football.
he went to Western.
If by "go" you mean "haven been to," then yes you "go" to both.
I do realize you went to both in 99-2000. That was pretty good.

...it was a very good year.
I saw a post not long ago discounting Michigan's NCs because they were "won" so long ago. That doesn't apply to MSU, right?
Minnesota loves to bring up the 70 year old championship thing. Theirs are even older than MSUs.
Since 2000 the B1G has sent 10 teams to the final four. Only four years we haven't sent a team to the final four.
Saying "go" kind of means like, on a consistent basis.
I can only imagine. Seemed like you guys were having fun.
I was coming more from the guaranteed angle. So even when the league might have been down, a B1G team would be in pasadena.
