Don't ask...just buy it right now 587 dollars
We just did an extensive cash flow analysis of Apple's stock value in my final accounting master's class. Based on the sales growth over the past 7 years, and including the first quarter of this year, you'd have to assume that their sales would do a complete about face to get anywhere near the current value. Many in our class were coming closer to 800, 900, 1000+ even with significantly reduced revenue growth. Fun fact: Apple has $0 of debt. Zero!

If you sell off a little here and there and reinvest into other areas immediately you avoid capital gains taxes for the time being, kind of like turning the money made off of the sale of your house into the down payment on the next one.

It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Spartan!!!!
Opened at 580 and running with the bulls
I picked up some more shares at 581 yesterday. Limit order went through just before the bell closed.
Doing pretty well today... (no jinxies, no jinxies)
The majority of mine were bought at $385ish. Back in 2003 I was looking at picking up some AAPL at $70, but I didnt because I only had like 3k to invest and it would have chewed through without getting enough shares...boy was that a bad decision. I think i made 2% on the other stuff before selling off to pay off credit card debt. Had I bought even 10 shares back then Id be in the black for $5300 on a $700 investment....whoops.
Not too late.
Did you mean to say it's not too late to short Apple?
Fuck it, I just bought 20 shares!
Buying today was the smart move. AAPL is up 5% in aftermarket trading on reports that revenues exceeded expectations.
Who bought before the earnings announcement...........now 617
And new AAPL price target is 1111

Damn, do I sell this morning and walk away with a cool grand from a 1 day investment or should I wait for the Iphone 5! I feel dirty owning Trevors stock.
Whenever a stock shows up in a discussion thread in a public forum like this one it usually means its a good time to sell lol.
AAPL was unstoppable until this thread was posted.
It is down 11.25% over the last 30 days, and taking a beating so far today too.
Currently at 563 and falling.
Congrats on buying the high
Yup. Brutal week for AAPL.
Closed today at 530 and has been shaky at best over the last 30-45 days.
Great bargain right now.
Dominating Press Conferences Since 2007
The whole market has been brutal the last 2 weeks.
Yeah, I got screwed on that play. I am sure it makes a loser like you happy. I mean, you couldn't even afford to buy on the high or low. Eventually, it will come back. It's for my kids anyway. Have a nice day hating yourself.
Keeping the sunshiners in check since 2000.
Ouch. That downvote hurt. Lol.
But that deserves a clawback to 4-star and beyond - for honesty, admitting you did an investment BOHICA. What does the wifey say? That showdown can be worse than armchair advisors here or anywhere else..

Well at least you did your due diligence before you bought.
The market isn't going to come back until we see additional QE from the fed. That's the only thing that's been supporting this "recovery" for the past three years. Two rounds of easing and twisting has artificially sustained it. Good news: I would be surprised if we don't see QE3 (whether under that name or not) before the end of June (depending on market conditions). Bad news: The effectiveness of QE is rapidly disintegrating. We can't take much more before we start to see inflation get out of control, and when that point hits, the fed is going to have a big decision to make (deflationary depression to correct a decade's worth of credit and malinvestment, or runaway inflation).

Welcome to Apple earnings day...602.60 right now.
AAPL will open tomorrow around 635 with a good earnings beat tonight.
around 570 on an earnings miss, but with a miss it could trade even lower tomorrow.
History suggests a nice pop tomorrow. We will see...
AAPL has been on shaky ground since its initial run up to $600. (Basically when this thread was started) Markets in general haven't been that great the last 3-4 months.
